Young (neck) is active Sunday at Philadelphia, Tarik El-Bashir of CSN Washington reports.
Young has garnered just four touches on the year, but the fullback has turned two of them into scores. The goal-line vulture could strike again in a divisional matchup between two of the NFL's Top 5 offenses in terms of yards per game.

Young (neck) is probable for Sunday's game against Philadelphia.
Young has been one of the league's more pesky touchdown vultures over the last couple years, and he's already struck twice in 2014 -- once in each of Washington's first two games. His numbers probably aren't worth chasing outside of very deep formats, though.

Young (neck) practiced in full Thursday, Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports.
Young has been upgraded from his limited participation Wednesday, all but assuring his presence Sunday at Philadelphia. Alfred Morris should again have his bulldozing fullback clearing lanes in Week 3.

A source tells CSN Washington that FB Darrel Young's job is safe.
Young's roster spot wasn't thought to be in danger because of talent -- he's among the league's top lead-blockers. It was a question mark because Jay Gruden rarely used a traditional fullback in Cincy, instead employing two-tight end sets in his pass-first scheme. Keeping Young is further evidence that the Redskins are going to at least attempt to stick with the Mike Shanahan scheme when they do run the ball.

Redskins FB Darrel Young believes there will be a role for him in new HC Jay Gruden's offense.
Gruden's offense in Cincinnati rarely featured a fullback, instead relying heavily on two tight-end sets. Young was one of the better lead blockers in the league in Mike Shanahan's zone-blocking system, but faces an uncertain future under Gruden. Young has two years remaining on his three-year, $3.97 million contract. The Redskins can save $693,229 in 2014 cap space by cutting him.

Redskins FB Darrel Young (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 14.
Young practiced on a limited basis Friday, putting him on track to play against the Chiefs. His return would be an upgrade to Alfred Morris and Washington's running game. If Young is held out again this week, the Redskins would be forced to use Evan Royster as their starting fullback.
