Rams waived WR Nick Miller and LB David Nixon.

Miller was facing a four-game suspension for reportedly violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances, while Nixon notched just six tackles in eight games last season. Nixon should be able to latch on somewhere as a camp body, but Miller's looming suspension will chill his market.

St. Louis Rams wide receiver Nick Miller has been suspended for the first four games of the 2012 season for the use of performance-enhancing drugs.

NFL suspended Rams WR Nick Miller four games for violating an undisclosed league policy.

ESPN 101 St. Louis' Howard Balzer speculates that the suspension may have been PED-related, but he is "seeking to confirm." A speedy but pint-sized (5'9/175) slot receiver/return prospect, Miller has three career receptions. He was going to be hard pressed to make the Rams' final 53 even at a weak position.

Rams re-signed WR/KR Nick Miller.

Miller takes the spot of Mark Clayton (injured reserve, knee). He'll act as depth at receiver and help in the return game.

Rams waived WR Nick Miller.

Miller was inactive in Week 6 after being signed on October 6. He was made expendable by the Rams' acquisition of Brandon Lloyd and Greg Salas' Week 6 awakening. If Miller is able to latch on elsewhere, it should be to play on special teams.

The St. Louis Rams bolstered their injury-plagued roster, signing cornerback Brian Jackson and wide receiver Nick Miller on Monday.

Rams signed WR Nick Miller.

Miller was waived by the Raiders five days ago. Used mostly as a returner in Oakland, Miller has just three catches in 11 career games, and has been injury prone since entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2009. With the Rams struggling to find anybody who can catch the ball, however, Miller will likely be given a look on offense with Danny Amendola lost for the season. He's worth monitoring in deeper leagues, but that's it for the time being.
