Eagles agreed to terms with TE/FB James Casey, formerly of the Texans, to a three-year, $14.5 million contract.

Casey, 28, posted career highs in catches (34), yards (330), and touchdowns (3) last season despite being used incorrectly by the Texans' coaching staff. Casey was often asked to play fullback, but he is a natural tight end and terrific pass catcher at 6-foot-3 and 243 pounds. While we don't necessarily anticipate big fantasy stats, Casey will give Michael Vick an intriguing weapon down the seam and underneath in Chip Kelly's four-wide spread attack.

The Eagles have scheduled a free-agent visit with TE James Casey.

28-year-old Casey is a swiss army knife offensive weapon capable of both lead blocking and stretching the seam at tight end. We've liked him as one of this year's top free-agent sleepers. Casey has also drawn interest from Miami.

The Houston Chronicle reports the Eagles and Dolphins are interested in free agent FB/TE James Casey.

Casey would be a nice movable piece in just about any offense, but he sure would look good in the Eagles' spread attack under coach Chip Kelly. Casey can be a lead blocker, too, so it will certainly increase his value.

Coach Gary Kubiak says the Texans would like to re-sign free agent FB/TE James Casey.

Casey is a valuable, movable piece to the Houston offense. In 2012, he set career-highs in catches (34), yards (330), and touchdowns (three), while also working as Arian Foster's lead blocker at times. Casey checks in as our No. 7 free-agent tight end, but his versatility could increase his value.

James Casey caught just one pass for 30 yards in Week 14 versus New England.

Casey saw just the one target. With Garrett Graham out with a concussion, some thought Casey had sneaky value on Monday night, but it didn't amount to anything. He's caught just one pass in each of the past two games. Casey isn't worthy of a fantasy roster spot.
