Vontae Davis DB IND 11 Days
Colts RCB Vontae Davis (groin) is listed as probable for Week 13.
He'll start against the Titans. Because Davis plays outside and Kendall Wright operates in the slot, it's likely the Colts' top corner will spend most of Sunday's game matching up with Nate Washington and rookie Justin Hunter.

Colts RCB Vontae Davis (groin) hinted at concern Wednesday when asked about his Week 13 availability.
"We'll see," he said. "I hope I can get out there." Davis did not practice and is shaping up as a likely game-time decision. The Colts are already nursing an ongoing groin injury to LCB Greg Toler. Their defense is nosediving.

The Colts are not concerned about RCB Vontae Davis' groin injury.
Coach Chuck Pagano said Monday he expects Davis to be "fine," indicating Davis will likely play in Week 13 against the Titans. Davis has been the Colts' top corner this year, but his on-field performance has been fairly inconsistent.

Colts CB Vontae Davis expressed concern over the severity of his groin injury following Sunday's Week 12 loss at Arizona.
Davis pulled his groin in the third quarter and did not return. His potential absence would be a major blow to a reeling defense as the ex-Dolphin has been a top-10 corner all season long. The only shred of good news is that Greg Toler (groin) could be back for the Week 13 matchup against the Titans.

Colts GM Ryan Grigson says the team expects RCB Vontae Davis to "put it all together" in his second season with Indy.
Davis was a top-24 cover corner in Pro Football Focus' 2012 ratings, but he's a top-ten talent in terms of skill level. He's also in a contract year. "We expect greatness from Vontae," said Grigson. "It's time for him to turn the corner in his career the way his brother did out in San Francisco. We saw glimpses and impressive flashes last year, but we expect him to put it all together this fall."

Colts declared CB Vontae Davis (knee) active for Sunday's game against the Lions.
After missing four straight games, Davis returns and joins Cassius Vaughn in the starting lineup. Struggling Darius Butler will be the third corner. The Colts are expected to "play sides" with Calvin Johnson instead of shadowing him. TE Coby Fleener (shoulder) is also active, as expected. The Colts' inactives: WR Palmer, S Tom Zbikowski, RB Robert Hughes, TE Dominique Jones, T Bradley Sowell, G Tony Hills and DT Kellen Heard.

Colts CB Vontae Davis (knee) is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Lions.
Davis' exact role is unclear. He's the Colts' top corner, but he's missed the last four games and interim coach Bruce Arians has hinted at limited playing time. Davis will not be shadowing Calvin Johnson, which means Megatron is going to get matched up with burnable ex-Patriot Darius Butler plenty.

Colts CB Vontae Davis (knee) is listed as doubtful for Week 12 after missing Friday's practice.
Davis practiced Wednesday, couldn't make it through a full workout on Thursday, and was held out entirely on Friday. So he's not going to play against the Bills. The Colts will continue to start Cassius Vaughn opposite Darius Butler. Josh Gordy will be the nickel back for Indianapolis' injury-riddled back end.

Colts CB Vontae Davis (knee) has been ruled out for Week 11.
According to beat writer Mike Chappell, Davis might finally be ready to return in Week 12. With Jerraud Powers landing on injured reserve Monday, the Colts will likely be forced to go with Darius Butler and Cassius Vaughn at corner against the Patriots' high-powered passing attack. It's going to be a long afternoon for the Horseshoe.
