Bowman (illness) is active for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.

Bowman had a bad stomach flu late last week that was significant enough to send him to the hospital on Thursday, but he'll tough it out Sunday to help a Giants secondary that has been hit hard by injuries.

Bowman (illness) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Giants.com reports.

A Bowman absence Sunday would further weaken an already thin Giants' secondary, so the team is hoping that Bowman is able to recover from the flu in time to suit up for this one. He'll likely be a game-time decision.

Bowman was sent to a local hospital with abdominal pain and missed practice on Thursday, the Newark Star-Ledger reports.

This is actually significant with Prince Amukamara and Walter Thurmond out for the year and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie banged up. If Bowman can't go, the team would likely start Chandler Fenner, with Jayron Hosley covering the slot.

If Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie can't go Sunday, Bowman would likely start in his place

With Prince Amukamara on the other side, expect the Cowboys to target Bowman if that happens.

Bowman left Friday's preseason game with an upper arm injury and his return is questionable, the New York Daily News' Ralph Vacchiano reports.

Bowman is, at best, a nickel corner for the Giants, so his absence won't have much fantasy significance.

The Newark Star-Ledger labeled Giants CB Zackary Bowman the "biggest surprise" of spring practices.

Bowman, 29, was signed in March after spending the first six seasons of his career with the Bears. He made 23 career starts and picked off ten passes. Beat writer Jordan Raanan thinks a transition out of Chicago's zone scheme into a press-man scheme could do wonders for 6-foot-1, 196-pound Bowman. The Giants have one of the deepest cornerback depth charts in the league.

Giants signed CB Zackary Bowman, formerly of the Bears.

Bowman, 29, wound up playing too much on defense in Chicago last season due to front-line injuries. He is a fine reserve corner and can contribute on special teams. Giants GM Jerry Reese has been extremely aggressive addressing his secondary, signing Bowman, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Walter Thurmond, and Quintin Demps, while also re-signing Stevie Brown and Trumaine McBride.

The Bears are interested in re-signing free agent CB Zack Bowman.

Bowman saw extensive playing time as a reserve corner last season, making seven starts and finishing with three interceptions. He isn't a priority and is expected to test the open market, but could be brought back if the Bears fail to re-sign Charles Tillman. Chicago currently lacks depth at cornerback behind Tim Jennings. Nickel CB Kelvin Hayden was re-signed to a one-year deal on Friday.

Bears re-signed CB Zackary Bowman to a one-year contract.

A fifth-round pick out of Nebraska in 2008, Bowman has never developed into a reliable cover corner, but he's carved out a legitimate career on special teams. The 28-year-old racked up 11 tackles across 11 games in Chicago last season.
