Patriots signed CB Nathan Jones, formerly of the Dolphins.
Jones essentially replaces Phillip Adams, who was released on Monday despite playing 51 snaps in Sunday's win over the Eagles. He'll be fourth on the depth chart behind Devin McCourty, Kyle Arrington and Antwaun Molden. Although Jones has experience in the slot, his signing isn't likely to eliminate the Pats' need to occasionally use WR Julian Edelman at nickel back.

Dolphins released CB Nathan Jones.
Jones' release is a sign that the Dolphins expect starting corner Vontae Davis (hamstring) to be ready when they come out of their bye.

Dolphins signed CB Nathan Jones.
Jones was Miami's nickel back in 2009 before landing a four-year deal with the Broncos last year. He'll play the same role for the Dolphins while Vontae Davis and Chris Clemons battle hamstring injuries.

Broncos released CB Nathan Jones.
Jones signed a four-year contract with the Broncos prior to last season and served a nickel back role. It's a sign that Perrish Cox is going to avoid the doghouse and make the team as a No. 4 corner. The Broncos also waived RB C.J. Gable, OL Shawn Murphy, OL Curt Porter, DE David Veikune, LB Braxton Kelley and LB Deron Mayo.
