Marcel Reece rushed 15 times for 74 yards and caught four passes for 29 yards in the Raiders' Week 12 loss to Cincinnati.
He was targeted eight times in the passing game. The 103 total yards are a relative disappointment for Reece's fantasy owners, but he was always more of a flex play than an elite scorer in the first place. Reece admitted this past week that Darren McFadden (ankle) will resume bellcow back status when he returns. The Raiders face the Browns in Week 13, and DMC's availability is uncertain.

Marcel Reece rushed for 103 yards on 19 carries and caught four passes for 90 yards in Sunday's Week 11, 38-17 loss to the Saints.
Reece was the lone Raiders player to show up for the game. The only thing missing for fantasy owners was a trip to the end zone. Darren McFadden (ankle) and Mike Goodson's (ankle) statuses for Week 12 against the Bengals are still uncertain, but Reece has at least earned himself more opportunities. Reece is a must-hold in fantasy and will get a shot at Cincinnati's No. 20 run defense in Week 12 if DMC is ruled out.

Raiders coach Dennis Allen confirmed he'll stick with the same running back rotation he used last week.
Both Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson are expected to sit out at least one more game. That means Reece, who played on 77.3 percent of the snaps against the Ravens, will be the bell cow once again. He'll be supported by Jeremy Stewart and Taiwan Jones will be sprinkled in if he has a good week of practice. We can safely project another 10-15 carries and 4-7 catches for Reece. This time, he'll be facing the Saints' No. 28 defense.

Marcel Reece played 58-of-75 snaps in Sunday's loss, while Taiwan Jones played just six snaps at running back.
There was no committee. Jones played eight fewer snaps than Jeremy Stewart, who was signed off the practice squad Saturday. Reece's 20 touches were 10 more than Stewart and Jones combined. He totaled 104 yards (5.2 yards per touch). Darren McFadden will reportedly be ready to return this week, but if not, Reece will be the only viable play in any format of fantasy.

Marcel Reece started the Raiders' Week 10 game over Taiwan Jones, and finished with 13 rushes for 48 yards to go with 56 yards on seven receptions.
Jones, a popular Sleeper of the Week in fantasy circles, was Oakland's third-string tailback behind Reece (20 touches) and Saturday practice squad callup Jeremy Stewart (7 touches). Jones got three touches. Although a largely ineffective carrier of the football, Reece played a major role in the Weeks 9-10 passing games and figures to be the primary back once again in Week 11, assuming Mike Goodson and Darren McFadden don't return against the Saints. Consider Reece an every-week PPR flex until Goodson and/or McFadden come back.

Marcel Reece was the Raiders' starting tailback in Sunday's Week 10 game against the Ravens.
Taiwan Jones didn't play on Oakland's first or second offensive possession. We'll keep track of the situation throughout Sunday's game; Jones does figure to see some snaps if the Raiders keep it close and/or jump out to an early lead. But so far, the fullback Reece has operated as Oakland's every-down back.

Coach Dennis Allen confirmed that Marcel Reece and Taiwan Jones have both taken snaps with the first-team offense this week.
"We'll play to the strength of the backs we're going to use," OC Greg Knapp said. Translation: Reece's touches will come primarily in the passing game, as he's not trusted to be the primary ball-carrier. Rotoworld ranks him 30th among running back options for Week 10. Reece is a better bet in PPR formats than standard-scoring leagues.

Raiders FB Marcel Reece caught eight passes for 95 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's Week 9 loss to the Buccaneers.
The league's most athletic fullback took over as Oakland's primary back following Darren McFadden (leg) and Mike Goodson's (ankle) injuries. A sure-handed pass catcher with some wheels, Reece caught a touchdown down the right side of the end zone to make this one a game, and was a favorite checkdown option for Carson Palmer late in the contest. We'll need to find out more about McFadden and Goodson's injuries entering Week 10, but for now Reece has the look of a potentially high-upside flex option at Baltimore.

Raiders will sign FB Marcel Reece to a contract extension prior to Monday's game against the Chargers.
The former undrafted free agent out of Washington has become one of the most dynamic fullbacks in the game. Last year, the unique athlete caught 27 passes for 301 yards and two touchdowns in addition to his lead-blocking duties. Reece was set to earn $540K in 2012, the final year of his contract.

Coach Dennis Allen confirmed that he could use Marcel Reece in the passing game.
Reece has only been practicing with the Raiders for a few days after signing his tender on Monday, but Allen is well aware of the fullback's unique athleticism. "Where he really excels is in the passing game and the different mismatches that he can create," the new coach said. Reece also figures to get some more carries this season thanks to Michael Bush's departure. Reece had 413 total yards on just 44 touches in 2011.
