BenJarvus Green-Ellis RB CIN 7 Months

BenJarvus Green-Ellis rushed eight times for 42 yards in the Bengals' Wild Card loss to the Chargers.

As is typically the case, Green-Ellis was a rushing factor early until the Bengals fell behind, when more skilled and versatile Giovani Bernard took over as Cincy's primary back with the team attempting to erase a deficit. Green-Ellis is owed $2.5 million in 2014 salary and bonuses. We understand the Bengals' coaching staff has an affinity for Law Firm's reliability, but there is no way he's worth that much money. Don't be surprised if the sides part ways this offseason.

The NFL confirmed that BenJarvus Green-Ellis should not have been awarded one of his touchdowns in Sunday's win over the Colts.

There won't be any stat correction of course, but owners that played against Green-Ellis got hosed. On a fourth-and-goal from the 1-yard line, the Law Firm got tripped up by Colts DT Josh Champman and was marked down short of the end zone. But on replay, embattled referee Jeff Triplette somehow overturned the call on the field. "No, it wasn't the correct call," VP of officiating Dean Blandino said. "There was not enough evidence to overturn the ruling on the field."

BenJarvus Green-Ellis rushed for 48 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries in Week 14 versus the Colts.

Green-Ellis didn't contribute in the passing game. Both of his scores were of the one-yard variety. One of the touchdown plunges shouldn't have been a score. On fourth down, BJGE got the carry and was tripped by the fingertip of Josh Chapman in the backfield. Green-Ellis fell to the ground at the one-yard line before crawling into the end zone. Officials reviewed the play and somehow deemed it was a touchdown. Fantasy-wise, continue to treat Green-Ellis as a low-upside, touchdown-dependent flex option next week in Pittsburgh.
