Cardinals released WR Early Doucet.

The move takes Arizona off the hook for Doucet's $1.95 million base salary, and saves $1.7 million under the cap. The Cardinals will keep Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Roberts, and Michael Floyd as their top-three receivers under Bruce Arians. Doucet, 27, has been an injury- and drop-prone disappointment in the pros.

Early Doucet (concussion) still hasn't been cleared to practice.

He's going to miss his fourth straight game Sunday. Thanks in large part to the Cardinals' catastrophic quarterback play, Doucet regressed almost fully from his semi-breakout 2011 campaign this season, catching just 28 passes for 207 yards and zero scores. He posted a 54/689/5 line in 2011. The fifth-year pro is signed for $1.95 million next season.

Early Doucet (concussion) has yet to be cleared to practice.

Doucet missed Sunday's win over the Lions, and doesn't appear to be on track to play in the Cardinals' Week 16 home tilt against the Bears. This punctuates a lackluster 2012 for Doucet where he has failed to reach the endzone and currently has just 207 yards on 28 catches.

Early Doucet (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 15.

Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Floyd will be Arizona's outside receivers against the Lions, with Andre Roberts in the slot. With Ryan Lindley starting at quarterback, Doucet is missing out on a surefire reception-less day.

Early Doucet (concussion) remained out of Cardinals practice Thursday.

He's not going to be cleared for Week 15. In the midst of a major regression from his promising 2011, Doucet is signed for $1.95 million next season.

Early Doucet (concussion) did not participate in Wednesday's practice.

This news bodes poorly for Doucet's Week 15 status. Last week, he played 14 snaps in the Cardinals' loss to the Seahawks, catching two balls for thirteen yards.
