McFadden had 14 carries for 48 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's loss to Arizona. He also caught four passes for seven yards.
The Raiders seemed to be committed to the running game early on, especially before halftime, when they gave McFadden three straight runs from around the goal line. He finally punched it in on his third attempt, providing the lone touchdown for the Raiders on Sunday. The team fell behind in the second half though, so they had to somewhat abandon the running game, limiting McFadden's touches. He still received a lot more work than backup Maurice Jones-Drew, who had just three carries for six yards. It's becoming obvious that McFadden is the top dog in the Raiders' backfield, and he'll get a crack at Cleveland in Week 8.

McFadden said Friday that this is the best he has felt this deep into a season since he joined the NFL in 2008, the Bay Area News Group reports. "I tell a lot of people I talk to, I tell them this is the best I've felt five, six games into the season," McFadden said. "It may not show on the stats but it's the best I've felt. I don't have any nagging injuries, nicks or anything slowing me down. So, I feel like I can go out there and just let it loose 100 percent."
The seventh-year back looked spry coming off the bye week, gaining 80 yards on 14 carries, his highest rushing total since Sept. 15, 2013. McFadden failed to exceed 3.8 yards per carry in any of his first four games of the season, but it appears he'll continue to head the Raiders' ground attack, with Maurice-Jones Drew playing a complementary role. However, while his health is intact now, injury concerns will always exist with McFadden, something owners need to remember when considering his rest-of-season value.

McFadden rushed for 80 yards on 14 carries and added two catches on four targets for six yards in Sunday's 31-28 loss to the Chargers.
Interim coach Tony Sparano suggested earlier in the week that he wanted Maurice Jones-Drew to take on a larger role, but McFadden carried the load again Sunday, with 14 carries to Jones-Drew's four. The 27-year-old McFadden averaged 5.7 yards per carry against San Diego, marking the first time in his last 11 games in which he's exceeded even four yards per attempt. Despite his lackluster overall production this season (3.4 YPC, one touchdown), McFadden appears locked in as the primary rusher for Oakland.

McFadden had 11 carries for 40 rushing yards and four catches for five targets for 32 receiving yards Sunday against the Dolphins.
Maurice Jones-Drew returned from his hand injury, but McFadden still got a majority of the carries, as the former had only two carries for one rushing yard and two catches for two receiving yards. Neither were particularly effective and the Raiders got blown out, forcing them to abandon the run fairly early (they trailed 24-7 at halftime and 38-7 after three quarters). The head out on bye in Week 5 and it's entirely possible they could share the backfield workload when they return in Week 6 against the Chargers, which limited both of their fantasy upsides.

Coach Dennis Allen indicated that McFadden is in line to make his third straight start at running back Sunday against the Dolphins, ESPN.com reports.
That said, Maurice Jones-Drew is on track to play for the first time since suffering a hand injury in Week 1 and figures to see his share of touches Sunday as well. The report notes that McFadden is getting the start based on the fact that he has had more practice time than Jones-Drew of late, but we suspect that the end result will be some form of Week 4 backfield time-share.

McFadden had 18 carries for 59 yards in Sunday's 16-9 loss at New England. He also caught four passes for six yards.
It looked like McFadden tied the game in the final minute with a touchdown run, but there was a penalty on the play. Meanwhile, Latavius Murray and Marcel Reece combined for just four carries, so it's pretty obvious that the Raiders are going to feature the veteran McFadden as long as Maurice Jones-Drew (hand) is out.

With Maurice Jones-Drew inactive, McFadden is in line for an expanded workload Sunday against the Patriots.
Latavius Murray and fullback Marcel Reece could also factor in Sunday, but at this stage, it looks like McFadden will head the Raiders' Week 3 rushing attack.

McFadden had 12 carries for 37 yards with a touchdown in Sunday's 30-14 loss to Houston. He added two catches for 31 yards.
Other than a 10-yard rush, McFadden did very little, as well as the entire Oakland offense. In fact, the Raiders possessed the ball for just 21 minutes, and trailed 27-0 at the end of three quarters. McFadden's short touchdown early in the fourth period helped save fantasy owners that rolled the dice on him, after Maurice Jones-Drew (hand) was ruled inactive. Meanwhile, speedster Latavius Murray barely touched the ball, recording just one carry for six yards. Thus, it appears as though Oakland will lean on McFadden as long as Jones-Drew is out.

McFadden's teammate, Maurice Jones-Drew, is day-to-day with a hand injury, csnbayarea.com reports.
While Jones-Drew's injury isn't thought be a major issue, if it limits him or sidelines him Sunday against the Texans, McFadden would be in line for an expanded workload in Week 2, along with the team's No. 3 back, Latavius Murray.

McFadden had four carries for 15 rushing yards and one catch on one target for six receiving yards Sunday against the Jets.
McFadden played behind Maurice Jones-Drew, although the latter finished with nine carries for 11 rushing yards and two catches for 12 receiving yards. Jones-Drew will continue to be the starter in Oakland, and while McFadden has garnered plenty of carries in his time with the Raiders, his fantasy value is fairly limited this season as long as Jones-Drew is healthy.
