In addition to Donte' Stallworth, the Dolphins also worked out free agent WRs Mike Sims-Walker and Brian Tyms on Thursday.

The Dolphins are desperate to add talent at the position, but Sims-Walker isn't much of an upgrade at this point in his career. He worked out for the Texans and Titans earlier in the summer, the latter of which was reportedly "not so good."

Free agent WR Mike Sims-Walker's Tuesday workout with the Titans was reportedly "not so good."

Career special teamer Jerheme Urban looked better, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen. Sims-Walker couldn't earn a roster spot with the receiver-needy Texans during OTAs, and the latest dismal workout suggests his career may have hit the skids for good. The 27-year-old caught 12 balls in six appearances last season.

Free agent WR Mike Sims-Walker is working out for the Titans on Tuesday.

The Nashville Tennessean's John Glennon believes there's "no doubt" the move is related to Kenny Britt's recent "on- and off-field difficulties." MSW was unable to latch on with the veteran-receiver needy Texans earlier this summer despite two different tryouts, so it's doubtful he'll impress the Titans during his workout.

Free agent WR Mike Sims-Walker is participating in Texans minicamp this week.

Coach Gary Kubiak has expressed at least mild concern about the lack of experienced depth at the position. Sims-Walker has already worked out for the Texans once this offseason, and Kubiak indicated that he "looked good" in Tuesday's practice. The coaching staff will take the three days of minicamp to evaluate Sims-Walker tape before signing the veteran as competition for Lestar Jean.

The Texans may still be interested in WR Mike Sims-Walker and RB Derrick Ward.

Sims-Walker was in for a workout on May 30, but was not signed. The team is looking for veteran depth behind Andre Johnson and Kevin Walter. Ward is looking for a better opportunity, but may have to settle on a return to Houston on the cheap. That, of course, assumes the team is interested after signing Justin Forsett last week.

The Texans will work out free agent Mike Sims-Walker on Wednesday.

Former Seahawks RB Justin Forsett will be at the same workout. It was rumored during the 2011 lockout that the Texans had interest in Sims-Walker, and they have a small receiver need with Andre Johnson rehabbing from a knee scope. Sims-Walker was cut by the Rams during last season, then resurfaced with the Jags. He was placed on injured reserve due to knee surgery in November.

Welcome to the Conference Championship edition of the Brew Crew Corner. Two games this week will decide who will go to the Super Bowl. Last weekend it was turnovers that sunk three teams while tight ends decided some other games. The Houston Texans threw three interceptions and a lost a fumble, the New Orleans Saints threw two interceptions and lost three fumbles, while the Green Bay Packers had one interception and lost three fumbles in their loss. Not taking care of the football gave the other teams additional opportunities, and it cost these three teams dearly.

I've never seen a year where we've had so many stud tight ends playing in the playoffs, and last weekend we saw four tight ends dominate in games. For the New England Patriots, Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez destroyed the Denver Broncos. Gronkowski had 145 yards and three touchdowns while Hernandez had four receptions for 55 yards and one touchdown, and he added five carries for 55 yards. In San Francisco, Vernon Davis had seven catches for 180 yards and two touchdowns as he out performed Jimmy Graham, who had five receptions for 103 yards and two touchdowns. Tight ends will definitely be a factor in the Conference Championship games. Look for Jake Ballard and even Dennis Pitta to have key grabs this weekend.

Last week we analyzed the value of the running backs for 2011. This week we will look at the wide receivers for this season.
