Miller was released by the Seahawks on Friday, Albert Breer of NFL Network reports. Miller was reportedly released due to a failed physical, likely stemming back to the ankle injury that sent him to season-ending injured reserve. He will become a free agent for the upcoming offseason, with a chance to look for work in free agency.

Miller, who has been out since Week 3 with an ankle injury, was placed on season-ending IR, coach Pete Carroll announced at his Wednesday press conference. Miller's primary contribution was blocking, which the Seahawks will continue to miss, but he also provided a solid TE target for Russell Wilson. Luke Willson and Cooper Helfet will continue to pick up the slack, but neither is the blocker nor receiver that Miller is.

Coach Pete Carroll noted Monday that while Miller (ankle) continues to work, the tight end is "not coming back fast," the Seattle Times reports. As Sunday's game against Kansas City approaches, Miller would appear to be more week-to-week than day-to-day at this stage.

Miller (ankle) will be out "a while," per coach Pete Carroll. Miller has not played in over a month and does not appear to be close to making a return. As a result, Luke Wilson and Cooper Helfet should continue to see increased snaps.

Miller (ankle) remains sidelined, the Seahawks' official site reports. On the plus side, Luke Willson practiced fully Wednesday, so the Seahawks' tight end depth should get a boost for Sunday's game against the Panthers.

Miller (ankle) won't travel with the Seahawks to St. Louis, where the team plays on Sunday. As a result, Luke Willson and Cooper Helfet will continue to see added tight end reps for the Seahawks in Miller's absence.

Coach Pete Carroll does not expect Miller (ankle) back this week. Luke Willson and Cooper Helfet will thus continue to see added reps in Miller's absence, though neither are fantasy options in all but the deepest of formats.

Miller (ankle) underwent a procedure last week, Ross Jones reports. Miller is expected to miss a significant amount of time due to his injury. He suffered from a foot injury last season, and had 33 receptions for 387 yards and five touchdowns in 2013. He has started off the season with six catches for 76 yards, but will be of little value until he can manage to stay healthy.

Miller (ankle) is active for Sunday's game versus the Broncos, the Seahawks' official site reports. Miller has so far turned five targets into four receptions for 64 yards, which includes a pair of 20-plus yard grabs. However, over the last three seasons, he's averaged just 2.1 receptions per game, capping his value to deeper leagues.
