Zach Miller TE SEA 8 Hrs

Miller (ankle) remains sidelined, the Seahawks' official site reports.

On the plus side, Luke Willson practiced fully Wednesday, so the Seahawks' tight end depth should get a boost for Sunday's game against the Panthers.

Miller (ankle) won't travel with the Seahawks to St. Louis, where the team plays on Sunday.

As a result, Luke Willson and Cooper Helfet will continue to see added tight end reps for the Seahawks in Miller's absence.

Coach Pete Carroll does not expect Miller (ankle) back this week.

Luke Willson and Cooper Helfet will thus continue to see added reps in Miller's absence, though neither are fantasy options in all but the deepest of formats.

Miller underwent ankle surgery during the Seahawks' bye week, the team's official site confirms.

At this stage, it has has yet to be determined how much time Miller will miss, but in his absence, the team will turn to Luke Willson at tight end, with Cooper Helfet on hand in a reserve capacity.

Miller (ankle) underwent a procedure last week, Ross Jones reports.

Miller is expected to miss a significant amount of time due to his injury. He suffered from a foot injury last season, and had 33 receptions for 387 yards and five touchdowns in 2013. He has started off the season with six catches for 76 yards, but will be of little value until he can manage to stay healthy.

Miller (ankle) is active for Sunday's game versus the Broncos, the Seahawks' official site reports.

Miller has so far turned five targets into four receptions for 64 yards, which includes a pair of 20-plus yard grabs. However, over the last three seasons, he's averaged just 2.1 receptions per game, capping his value to deeper leagues.

Miller (ankle) is probable for Sunday's game against Denver.

Miller sat out Wednesday and Thursday, but his full practice Friday indicates he was mostly getting maintenance days off. With just five targets in two games, however, he's not much of a fantasy consideration in most formats.

Miller is dealing with an ankle injury and did not practice Wednesday, the Seattle Times' Bob Condotta reports.

It's not clear how he suffered the injury, but it's something worth monitoring leading up to Sunday's game against Denver. Miller has just four catches for 64 yards with zero scores through two games, so he's not the greatest fantasy option, even when healthy.

Miller caught three passes for 42 yards on four targets in Thursday's season-opening 36-16 victory over the Packers.

This may be the season in which Miller finally gets his due as an excellent player, but such recognition doesn't translate to fantasy value. He's an excellent blocker and solid low-volume receiver, one with enough talent to handle a bigger role in the passing game. However, any expansion of his receiving role would likely be small, as the Seahawks still love to run the ball, and now have a healthy Percy Harvin to eat up targets in the passing game. Miller showed what he's capable of Thursday night, making a one-handed, 24-yard grab that was arguably the play of the game. He also had just three receptions for 42 yards on four targets, production that closely aligns with his 2013 stat line of 33 catches for 387 yards and five touchdowns on 56 targets in 14 games.

Miller caught one pass for 37 yards in Friday's preseason game against the Chargers.

Miller's a good player with good job security, but his team doesn't pass very often, and focuses on the wide receivers when it does. The targets left behind by Golden Tate will likely go to Percy Harvin, though there's always some chance the Seahawks could opt to make greater use of Miller's solid, albeit unspectacular, receiving skills.
