The Seattle Times doesn't envision the Seahawks cutting TE Zach Miller.

We don't, either. Miller has a mammoth cap number for 2013 as he's due a $6.8 million salary and a $3 million roster bonus, but he was finally starting to come on in the latter stages of the 2012 season, capping it off with an eight-catch, 142-yard, one-score Divisional Round playoff game outburst against the Falcons. He should be in line for a bigger role on offense this coming season.

Seahawks TE Zach Miller suffered a torn plantar fascia in his foot in Sunday's Divisional Round loss.

The injury forced Miller to the locker room for a series in the first half, but he returned after receiving a pain-killing injection. Miller went on to post a career-best 8/142/1 line. That's despite the fact he was spotted in a boot afterward. Perhaps in line for a bigger role next season after coming on down the stretch, Miller should be ready for Seattle's offseason program.

Zach Miller hauled in eight receptions for 142 yards and a touchdown on a team-high nine targets in Sunday's Divisional round loss at Atlanta.

Where has this been the past two years? Miller has been more involved in the passing game over the past two months, but his previous single-game Seahawks high was 59 yards. The Falcons essentially left the seam open in an effort to stop Marshawn Lynch and Sidney Rice, and Russell Wilson obliged by with big play after big play to his tight end. Miller does have sleeper appeal for next season if the Seahawks keep opening up the passing game, but he's no more than a late-round flier in fantasy drafts.

Seahawks TE Zach Miller left Sunday's Divisional Round game at Atlanta with a foot injury.

Miller had been more involved in the passing game of late. As Rotoworld's Mike Clay points out, he's been targeted more than Sidney Rice over the past two months. Miller returned to action after missing one series.

Zach Miller led the Seahawks with 48 yards on four receptions in Sunday's Wild Card round victory over the Redskins.

His six targets also led the team against a defense that struggled to contain tight ends all season. Miller's 22-yard catch-and-run on third down set up Marshawn Lynch's 27-yard go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter. The receiving yards were his second-highest total of the season.

Zach Miller caught three passes for 18 yards in Seattle's Week 17 win over the Rams.

It was a typical day at the office for Miller. In his second season with the Seahawks, Miller caught 38 passes for 396 yards and three touchdowns. He averaged an uninspiring 24.75 yards per game over the course of the season. Miller and No. 2 TE Anthony McCoy will continue to share duties when the Seahawks open the playoffs on the road against the NFC East winner next week.

Zach Miller caught two passes for 15 yards in Seattle's Week 16 win over the 49ers.

Miller hauled in Russell Wilson's first pass of the night, but was targeted only once thereafter. In the second season of a five-year contract, Miller is averaging an unimpressive 25.2 yards per game.
