Dwayne Bowe WR KC 2 Days

Dwayne Bowe has been working with a nutritionist and personal trainer for the last two months.

Bowe says it's the first time in his career he's hired the combo to prepare for a season. There were early-season rumors last year that Bowe was playing too heavy, though it wasn't evident on his game tape. His production picked up late in the season as Alex Smith showed an improved willingness to pull the trigger on intermediate and downfield throws. Bowe is entering his age-30 season. He'll be worth a look as a WR3 in re-draft leagues.

Dwayne Bowe pleaded guilty to defective equipment and littering charges and paid a $610 fine to resolve the marijuana possession matter against him.

Bowe was popped for marijuana possession back in November. Since it was his first arrest for possession, he was allowed to pay a fine. Bowe should avoid a suspension but could wind up being placed in the substance-abuse program.

Dwayne Bowe's attorney filed a motion to suppress evidence related to a November arrest for marijuana possession.

The attorney contends the search of Bowe's vehicle and person was conducted without a valid warrant, without probable cause, and in an unreasonable manner. If the judge grants the motion, the evidence in the case would be thrown out. Bowe could still be subject to league discipline over the incident.

Dwayne Bowe said he plans on changing the way he eats this offseason and wants to work on his endurance.

"One thing I want to work on - my endurance," Bowe said. "I was really, really tired that last game." Bowe, who is listed at 6-foot-2, 221, added that he wants to play around 208 pounds in 2014 in an effort to become "more explosive and faster." He's coming off one of his worst statistical seasons, but it wasn't all Bowe's fault. Alex Smith enjoyed checking the ball down to Jamaal Charles and his tight ends. Bowe will be drafted as a mid-range WR3 in fantasy next summer.

Dwayne Bowe suffered a "mild" foot sprain in Saturday's Wild Card loss.

Bowe never checked out against the Colts, so we assume his injury is truly "mild." He was the intended target on Kansas City's final play from scrimmage. Bowe was highly disappointing in the first season of his five-year, $56 million contract, catching just 57 passes for 673 yards and five touchdowns. He was more effective after the Chiefs began featuring him more out of the slot. Bowe will be a mid-range WR3 for 2014.

Dwayne Bowe caught eight passes for 150 yards and a touchdown in Kansas City's Wild Card loss to the Colts.

It was by far Bowe's best game of the season, as he blew by his regular-season highs for both catches (seven) and yards (70). Bowe made a mockery of the Colts' tackling on a 63-yard catch in the first quarter, and whipped Vontae Davis on a six-yard slant for his score. This being Bowe, however, he failed to stay in bounds on what would have been a first-down catch on Kansas City's final play from scrimmage, a 4th-and-11 with under two minutes remaining. It wasn't a perfectly-thrown ball, but should have been caught by a $56 million No. 1 receiver. Used more out of the slot down the stretch of an otherwise forgettable (57/673/5) year, Bowe will remain on the WR3 radar for 2014.

Dwayne Bowe (concussion) is listed as probable for Saturday's Wild Card game against the Colts.

Bowe was a full participant in practice all week after sitting out the season finale with a concussion. He'll resume No. 1 receiver duties opposite Donnie Avery, with Dexter McCluster playing in the slot.

Dwayne Bowe (concussion) has been cleared to play in Saturday's Wild Card playoff game against the Colts.

Bowe would have sat out in Week 17 even if he didn't sustain a concussion in Week 16. He'll be fine to serve as Alex Smith's top target Saturday. Handcuffed by Smith's timidness and the Chiefs' ball control attack, Bowe averaged 3.8 catches for 44.8 yards with five touchdowns during the regular season.

Dwayne Bowe (concussion) returned to practice Tuesday.

Bowe has been cleared to practice but has yet to be cleared to play. Barring a setback, we'd expect him to be out there for Saturday's Wild Card Round game against the Colts.

This has been the expectation all along. Barring a setback, Bowe will resume No. 1 duties for Saturday's Wild Card tilt with the Colts.
