Scott Chandler caught two passes for 15 yards in the Bills' Week 7 loss to the Titans.
Chandler saw just four targets. As usual, when he's not scoring, he's hurting fantasy owners. Chandler will take four touchdowns into the bye, but has just 19 catches and 234 yards in seven games.

Scott Chandler caught just one pass for four yards against the Cardinals in Week 6.
Chandler was targeted just three times on Sunday. The Buffalo passing offense struggled to move the ball throughout the afternoon. Chandler is purely a red-zone option, but he has a very good shot to find the endzone in Week 7 against the Titans, who struggle mightily against opposing tight ends.

Scott Chandler caught four passes on six targets for 40 yards at San Francisco in Week 5.
The 49ers scored a touchdown one play after Chandler fumbled just second before the halftime bell. His red-zone chops went to waste on a day when the Bills struggled to move the ball. Chandler is a hit-or-miss fantasy option heading into Week 6 at Arizona.

Bills coach Chan Gailey confirmed "all indications" are that TE Scott Chandler (head) and WR Donald Jones (head) "will be fine."
It's not entirely clear if Gailey is referring to Week 5, but that appears to be the case. Their status will be update Wednesday. Only Chandler will be a viable fantasy option against the 49ers' elite defense.

Coach Chan Gailey said TE Scott Chandler's head injury "seems to be minor."
Per the Bills' website, Chandler got "cold-cocked" by Patriots LB Brandon Spikes and never returned. Wideout Donald Jones also left with a head injury. "(Scott) and Donald both got dinged a little bit, but it seems to be minor," said Gailey. "It seems like they'll be okay." Even a mild concussion would put Chandler in doubt for Week 5 against the 49ers.

Bills TE Scott Chandler hauled in four balls for 62 yards and two touchdowns before exiting the team's Week 4 game with a head injury.
The "head injury" designation is often a concussion, although we'll need more information to confirm that. Chandler similarly got off to a red-hot scoring pace last year, only to fade before being placed on I.R. We don't doubt he can vie for double-digit touchdowns if he stays healthy, though. Harvard grad Ryan Fitzpatrick smartly looks for Chandler deep in the red area. Chandler has capitalized for four touchdowns through four games.

Ryan Fitzpatrick confirmed that the Bills will "lean on" TE Scott Chandler even more in the red zone now that David Nelson is out for the season.
"He's a guy that has really emerged, really since last season he's improved so much," said Fitzpatrick. "I think how comfortable I am with him running his routes, the communication we have and really he's just a huge target. That makes a big difference down there in the red zone." Aaron Hernandez owners should take a look at Chandler if Dennis Pitta and Martellus Bennett have already been snatched up.

Bills beat writer Joe Buscaglia nominates TE Scott Chandler for training camp MVP Runner-Up, behind FS Jairus Byrd.
This comes on the heels of the Bills' official website declaring Chandler the offense's "biggest playmaker" during OTAs and minicamps. Although his passing-game impact was limited primarily to the red zone last season, it's become evident that Chandler is emerging as "one of Ryan Fitzpatrick's favorite two targets." He's arrived on the TE2 radar.

TE Scott Chandler was the offense's "biggest playmaker" during OTAs and minicamps.
Per the team's official site, Chandler "was a daily fixture on the highlight reel for the offense, especially in the red zone." At 6'7/263 with reasonable athleticism, Chandler will continue to be featured around the goal-line. But owners should note that he had three or fewer catches in 11 of 14 games played last season. Chandler's upside is capped outside of TD-heavy formats.
