Omar Gaither LB ATL Nov 14 '12
Raiders signed LB Omar Gaither.
Gaither is taking the roster spot of Travis Goethel (injured reserve, knee surgery). A six-year veteran who appeared in 10 games for the Panthers last season, Gaither couldn't make it past final cuts in Texans camp. He'll be a reserve and special teamer in Oakland.

Weakside starting LB Omar Gaither (knee) and backup LB Jason Phillips (calf) did not make the trip to Indianapolis for the Panthers' Week 12 matchup against the Colts.
Undersized Jordan Senn (5'11/224) will start in Gaither's place. Starting MLB Don Connor (shoulder) is a game-time call and the extremely favorable matchup for Indy's run game gets even better with this news. It's a mystery which back is going to lead the way for Indy at this time, but if reports can shed some light on the situation heading into game-time owners should be ready to move. The Panthers are a sieve.

Panthers WLB Omar Gaither has been diagnosed with a sprained left MCL, and will be sidelined 2-to-4 weeks.
Gaither has been starting since Thomas Davis was lost for the season in Week 2. His loss is bad news for a team also missing Jon Beason and sporting the league's 28th ranked run defense. Jason Williams will take his place in the starting lineup. Gaither will likely return following the Panthers' Week 9 bye. Opposing running backs remain a must-start against Carolina.

Panthers agreed to terms with LB Omar Gaither, formerly of the Eagles.
The Panthers stay aggressive. Gaither can't cover, but has a big body and some starting experience. Former Eagles defensive coordinator Sean McDermott, who now holds the same position in Carolina, is likely behind this one.
