Heath Miller TE PIT 9 Months

Heath Miller caught four passes for 35 yards in Sunday night's Week 15 win over the Bengals.

Miller caught all four of his targets, but was held out of the end zone for the eighth straight game. He has just one touchdown this season and will be just a TE2 option in next week's matchup with the Packers.

Heath Miller caught eight passes for 86 yards in Thursday night's Week 13 loss to the Ravens.

Miller was targeted nine times and led the Steelers in both receptions and yards. He was finding room behind the linebackers and in front of the safeties all night. Miller was also stopped inside the one-yard line two separate times, or he could have had a monster game. His eight grabs matched a season-high, while the yards are a new best. Miller will be on the TE1 radar in Week 14 against Miami.

Heath Miller had five catches for 41 yards in Sunday's Week 12 win over the Browns.

Miller was targeted six times and continues to be used as Ben Roethlisberger's primary safety valve. He's still not close to being the player he was before his knee injury, and hasn't scored a touchdown since Week 7. Miller will be just a TE2 option in Week 13 against the Ravens.

Heath Miller caught eight passes for 67 yards in Pittsburgh's Week 11 win over the Lions.

With Emmanuel Sanders knocked out early with a foot injury, Miller was Ben Roethlisberger's primary safety valve. He could have had a bigger day, but dropped a one-yard touchdown in the end zone. The eight catches were nice for a player who hadn't corralled more than four in any of his past four games, but Miller still looked like Jake Ballard in the open field. He's not the same player he was before his knee injury, and is a borderline TE1 as a result.

Heath Miller caught four passes for 43 yards in Sunday's Week 9 loss at New England.

Ben Roethlisberger attempted 48 passes, but Miller was targeted on just five of them. He's just a reliable safety valve. In six games played this year, Miller is averaging 4.0 catches for 44.6 yards with one touchdown. Owners expecting more than that are going to be disappointed.

Heath Miller caught three passes for 19 yards in the Steelers' Week 8 loss to the Raiders.

Miller had a red-zone touchdown ruled successful on the field, but overturned after replay because the football narrowly grazed the ground. Miller hasn't looked as effective the past two weeks after a six-catch, 84-yard performance in Week 6 against the Jets. Coming off a triple-knee-ligament tear, Miller isn't the player he was when healthy in 2012. He'll be a low-end TE1 when the Steelers face the Patriots in Week 9.

Heath Miller caught six balls for 84 yards in the Steelers' Week 6 win over the Jets.

Miller isn't a dynamic tight end, but he's a full-time player again and knows how to get open. He's going to be a big part of Pittsburgh's passing offense the rest of the way. Treat Miller as a mid-range to low-end TE1 when the Steelers take on the Ravens in Week 7. Baltimore has struggled versus tight ends.

Heath Miller (knee) played on 75-of-79 snaps in Sunday's loss to the Vikings.

Miller is all the way back from the devastating knee injury he sustained in Week 16 last year. He played on 30-of-66 snaps in his debut last week and then kicked it into full gear Sunday. The result was six catches for 70 yards on eight targets. Miller certainly isn't sexy, but he'll be a reliable back-end TE1 going forward. Remember that he posted a 71/816/8 line in 15 games a year ago.

Miller played the entire game and wasn't on any snap count restrictions. He had eight targets and caught most of his passes on check downs. Miller should be viewed as a borderline TE1 option going forward.
