When asked about his NFL future, free agent T David Stewart said, "It's going to take a lot to get me off the lake." These comments confirm speculation that Stewart would seriously consider retirement after being cut by the Titans earlier this month. Stewart is not retiring officially yet and did leave open the possibility of return. It seems more likely he will hang them up. Stewart spent his entire career with the Titans, starting 116 games at right tackle over the last eight seasons.

The Nashville Tennessean "can't see a scenario" where the Titans bring back RT David Stewart. NFL.com's Ian Rapoport agrees. Due $6.4 million in a "voidable year," Stewart has missed four games each of the past two seasons, and been average when on the field. He'll turn 32 in August.

Titans RT David Stewart is practicing fully in training camp after fracturing his right leg last December. Stewart missed OTAs and minicamp, but avoided the PUP list to open camp. A mauler in the run game and efficient pass protector, Stewart is entering his age-31 season. He forms an impressive tackle duo opposite LT Michael Roos.

Titans RT David Stewart is "still recovering" from the broken leg that ended his season in December, but is expected to be ready for training camp. The injury cost Stewart the final four games of the season. Stewart is due $6 million between salary and bonuses, but played well enough in 2012 to be retained at that price.
