Aaron Rodgers believes he can play seven more years in the NFL.
Rodgers doesn't turn 30 until December. "I fully expect to play well and if I can play seven more good years and we can have some more success and win a couple more (titles), then it might be time to hang it up," said Rodgers. Knocked as injury prone early in his career, Rodgers has missed just two games over the past five seasons. His TD-to-INT ratio over the past two is 84:14.

Packers signed QB Aaron Rodgers to a multi-year contract extension.
Details aren't yet known, but it'll make Rodgers the highest paid player in NFL history. In early April, NFL Network reported the Packers offered Rodgers over $21 million per season, and the sides were $2 million apart. The Ravens signed Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco to a six-year, $120.6 million contract on March 1. Flacco's deal contained $52 million guaranteed, with $29 million to sign.

Club president Mark Murphy indicated that the Packers' forthcoming extension with Aaron Rodgers may not be as imminent as media reports suggest.
The deal is going to happen, but perhaps not until after the draft. "It's a priority for the organization," Murphy said. "I've kept in touch and we're hopeful it will be soon, but these things have a life of their own sometimes." Rodgers' new deal is expected to be worth roughly $100 million over four years.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports Aaron Rodgers has no plans to hold out of Packers' offseason workouts if the sides have yet to reach a new deal.
It's the same thing CBS Sports reported earlier this month. Most signs have suggested the sides will hammer out an extension before the draft, but big-money negotiations have a way of bogging down when they're seemingly on the verge of completion. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported earlier Wednesday that the deal is expected to pay Rodgers over $25 million per season.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports Aaron Rodgers hopes to have an extension finalized before he reports for OTAs on April 15.
Rapoport calls the date a "benchmark." Rodgers loathes distractions, so we'd expect talks to intensify in the coming days. Rapoport reported Monday that the Pack are offering Rodgers over $21 million per year, but that the sides are roughly $2 million apart. Regardless, Rodgers' deal is going to surpass Joe Flacco's.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Packers are offering Aaron Rodgers over $21 million per season in long-term talks, but that the sides are roughly $2 million apart.
It means that the baseline of the talks will make Rodgers higher paid than Joe Flacco, whose six-year deal includes an average annual value of $20.1 million. As Drew Brees and Flacco have proven, $2 million isn't a small sum of money in long-term talks, but Rapoport reports the sides are "making real progress." With over three weeks to go before the draft, the sides may very well reach an agreement before the league convenes in New York.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Packers and Aaron Rodgers are "getting closer" to a long-term contract extension.
This confirms an earlier PFT report that a deal could be done before the draft. With Joe Flacco getting $20.1 million annually this offseason, the starting point for negotiations has already been set. Rodgers is expected to be seeking a contract in the range of $23-$25M per season. His current deal has two years left.
