The nine-year veteran was on his second stint with the Saints this season. Carr had made 16 tackles in 11 games, notching one interception. On the wrong side of 30, Carr has made just one start since the end of the 2010 season. He's unlikely to land elsewhere with just two weeks left in the regular season.

Once the season ended, Carr, 30 next month, said he was contemplating retirement in order to attend law school. He still plans on going to law school, but Carr also wants to play more football. Carr recorded four tackles in nine games with the Chargers last season.
