Tom Brady QB NE 6 Months's Ian Rapoport reports Tom Brady missed Wednesday's practice with an illness.

A source tells Rapoport that Brady is "just sick." In other words, it's nothing to worry about. It's unusual for Brady to miss practice time ahead of such an important game, but it shouldn't be a factor on Sunday. There's zero reason to worry about Brady's status for the AFC Championship Game.

Tom Brady (undisclosed) wasn't present at the portion of practice open to the media Wednesday.

Brady's presser, which was originally scheduled for Wednesday afternoon, has been pushed back to Friday. He's been on the injury report the past few weeks with a shoulder injury but had been practicing in full. We doubt it's anything serious. The Patriots are likely just playing games. There's also a chance Brady shows up for the latter part of practice that is closed to the media. We'll update his status later. For now, there's no need to worry about Brady's availability for Sunday.

Tom Brady completed 13-of-25 passes for 198 yards, zero touchdowns and zero interceptions in New England's Divisional Round win over the Colts.

The Patriots entered the game wanting to ram the ball down the Colts' throat, and they obliged by springing major defensive leaks in the second half. The sub-200 yard effort was just Brady's second in a playoff game since 2004. Brady is going to be dropping back far more often if New England draws Denver in next week's AFC Championship Game. Peyton Manning would be all but certain to lure Brady into a shootout.

Tom Brady (shoulder) is practicing in full for Week 17.

Brady's "injury" wasn't a factor in Week 16. He'll be his usual self against the Bills.

Tom Brady completed 14-of-26 passes for 172 yards and a touchdown as the Patriots dominated Baltimore 41-7 in Week 16.

It was an easy day for Brady, who was tasked with doing very little as New England's D took it to a gimpy Joe Flacco. Both the 172 yards and 14 completions were his fewest since he posted 13 and 116, respectively, against the Dolphins in Week 8. Strangely, that performance also came in a victory. The bad news is that Brady lost yet another weapon, as Shane Vereen missed the better part of three quarters with a groin injury. His Week 17 status is unclear. Brady has 4,221 yards and 24 scores heading into Week 17.

Tom Brady (shoulder) remained "limited" in Thursday's practice.

Maybe Brady is sore, but he isn't hurt. He's on the QB1 borderline for Week 16.

Tom Brady completed 34-of-55 passes for 364 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in New England's 24-20, Week 15 loss to the Dolphins.

Brady did all he could to overcome the absence of Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Dobson and Kenbrell Thompkins, but found things even more complicated after losing LT Nate Solder to another concussion. Brady's worst throw was his last, where he tossed a pick to reserve CB Michael Thomas in the end zone. Brady absolutely shredded the Dolphins in the middle of the field, finding slot men Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola for a combined 23 catches and 270 yards. Going on the road to take on the Ravens, Brady has a dicey Week 16 matchup, but will remain in the QB1 conversation. He needs Solder back, however.

Tom Brady (throwing shoulder) remained limited in Thursday's practice.

Brady's status isn't a concern for Week 15. Adjusting to life without Rob Gronkowski, he'll be a mid-range QB1 against the Dolphins' solid pass defense.

Tom Brady (right shoulder) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

Brady should be fine for Week 15 against the Dolphins on the road. Without Rob Gronkowski (torn ACL, MCL), consider Brady a back-end QB1.

Tom Brady completed 34-of-50 passes for 344 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday night's Week 12 overtime win over the Broncos.

Brady was able to bounce back from a costly first quarter fumble and threw all three of his touchdowns in the second half. He took advantage of the Broncos injured secondary and spread the ball around effectively, completing at least one pass to six different receivers. Despite playing in windy conditions, Brady still managed to have one of his best games of the season and led the Patriots to 24 unanswered second-half points. New England won the game on a punt that hit CB Tony Carter's leg with three minutes remaining in overtime. Brady is averaging 357 yards with eight touchdowns and just one interception over his last three games and will remain a QB1 in Week 13 against the Texans.
