The Falcons have re-signed Bryant, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

The deal will prevent Bryant from hitting free agency next month. The veteran kicker, who will turn 40 in May, is coming off a 2014 season in which he made 29-of-32 field goal attempts and recorded 127 points.

Bryant connected with 29-of-32 field goal attempts in 2014.

Bryant proved accurate as ever in 2014, as his only misses came from 53 yards, 57 yards and 59 yards. 2014 was the only season in his 13-year career that he was perfect from 49 yards or closer. He'll be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and although he may have to leave the comfort of a dome, there's likely more than a few contenders who would be interested in a reliable veteran kicker.

Bryant battled an illness during the week but shouldn't be affected by it on Sunday. He is safe to deploy.

Bryant (illness) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Albert Breer of NFL Network reports.

Bryant was slowed by an illness this week but the ailment will not prevent him from playing in Week 17. He tallied 12 points last week and 13 points -- including two field goals between 40-49 yards away -- last time the Falcons faced the Panthers in Week 11.

Bryant (illness) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, the Falcons' official site reports.

Now that Bryant has returned to drills without limitations, owners can use him as they normally would in Week 17. In the previous four games, he's averaged 12.5 fantasy points per contest, which is in line with his Week 11 performance (four field goals made) against Sunday's opponent, the Panthers.

Bryant didn't practice Wednesday due to an illness, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Bryant has hit 11-of-12 field goal attempts in the past four contests, including two from 40-49 yards and another pair from 50-plus. Additionally, he's drilled 11 extra points, which has supplemented his line to the tune of 12.5 fantasy points per game during that stretch. As long as he fends off his illness in time for Sunday's season finale, he'll aim to repeat his four field-goal performance from Week 11 against the same Panthers squad.

Bryant went 2-for-2 on field goal attempts in Sunday's loss to the Bears.

Unlike some previous games, these two kicks weren't chip shots. His shortest field goal came from 52 yards, and he was also good from 54. He added one extra point to finish with a solid scoreline, especially in leagues that offer more points for 50-yard field goals.

Bryant knocked in two 20-yard field goals and two extra points in Sunday's loss to the Giants.

Bryant is 6-for-7 on the season, so while his field goal numbers leave something to be desired, he leads the league with 19 extra points.

Bryant went 8-for-8 on extra point attempts Thursday against the Bucs.

Bryant's lone missed kick came at the end of the first half from 59 yards, so he can hardly be faulted for missing. Bryant will continue to get plenty of kicking opportunities in an offense that rolled over the Bucs even without Roddy White, who was out with a hamstring injury. A potent offense and a home dome to kick in are a recipe for success.

Bryant had a big day Sunday, knocking through three field goals including two from over 50 yards to help the Falcons seal an overtime win over the Saints.

Bryant's three kicks came from 40, 51 and 52 yards, and he tallied four extra points on the day. He may not be so accurate if he's forced to try these kicks in the elements, but he's got seven more home games and a few road games where he'll be kicking in ideal conditions. He's a top kicking option, especially if the Falcons continue to play like they did Sunday.
