One personnel man told the National Football Post's Dan Pompei that he thinks free agent OG Brandon Moore is "overhyped."

Moore, 33 in June, is one of the better free agents left, but he's nothing more than a stopgap at this point. Moore is said to be seeking "starter money" -- $3-4 million annually -- in what has already proved to be a down market.

Moore is one of the top guards available after Andy Levitre and Louis Vasquez, but at 33 years old his main goal is to find a Super Bowl contender. The Jets are the furthest thing away from that.

Slauson probably has a better chance of returning because he shouldn't command high dollar, but Vladimir Ducasse has been groomed to be his replacement.
