Davis has ligament damage in ankle and is expected to miss at least first month of season, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Colts head coach Chuck Pagano had only termed Davis' injury as "week to week" but this report would indicate he'll be out much longer. With Davis, Patrick Robinson (groin), Darius Butler (hamstring) and Jalil Brown (ankle) all hurt, the Colts signed Antonio Cromartie on Monday.

Davis (undisclosed) is considered week-to-week, according to coach Chuck Pagano.
Davis, who missed Indianapolis' preseason game versus the Ravens over the week, was initially thought to be dealing with a minor undisclosed injury. However, upon Pagano's revelation Monday that Davis is viewed as week-to-week, it's clear he's carrying a more significant ailment than previously thought. While it's still unknown what's bothering Davis, it's worth noting that a foot injury plagued him throughout last season. Although Davis reported to being 100 percent at the start of OTAs, that's obviously not the case anymore, so hopefully more details regarding his injury are made available soon.

Davis (undisclosed) will sit out of Saturday's preseason game, Mike Chappell of Indysportscentral.com reports.
According to Chappell, whatever Davis is dealing with is very minor. While it would be nice to have some more clarity regarding his absence, it is relieving to know that Davis should not miss any significant amount of time as the regular season approaches. Davis collected four interceptions and racked up a combined 48 tackles during 2015.

Davis appears to be at 100 percent during the start of OTAs, Stephen Holder of the IndyStar reports.
Davis was ProFootballFocus.com's sixth highest-graded player in the entire NFL throughout the 2014 season, but dealt with a pesky foot injury in 2015 that hindered his week-to-week performance. Reportedly, however, Davis was nearly declared an injury scratch prior to multiple contests. Thus, the fact that he did play all 16 games may say more about his toughness than his 2015 performance may say about any sort of decline in ability. Now nearing full health, look for Davis to return to shut-down form in 2016.

Davis underwent minor surgery on his foot to "clean things out", Mike Chappell of Indysportscentral.com reports.
The procedure should improve Davis' opportunity to avoid any issues with the foot in the future. He recorded 48 tackles, 16 passes defensed, and four interceptions through 16 games during the 2015 season with the Colts.

Davis notched five tackles (four solo) and an interception in Sunday's win over the Dolphins.
The lockdown corner recorded his fourth interception of the year on Sunday in a much needed win over the Dolphins. Davis doesn't hold a ton of value as an IDP, simply for the fact that he isn't in on a lot of tackles, and quarterbacks don't throw at him very often.

Davis (hamstring) is active Sunday against the Buccaneers.
Davis suffered the injury during last Sunday's game against the Falcons but he practiced fully Thursday and Friday, clearing the way for him to start against the Bucs, who boast one of the better wideout duos in the NFL.

Davis suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday's game against the Falcons and is doubtful to return.
The severity of the injury is still unknown, but it's not a promising sign for Colts' fans that Davis is likely done for the day. With Davis on the sidelines look for Darius Butler to finish out the game at corner.

Davis had an interception, his second of the season, and two tackles in Monday's loss to Carolina. He also dropped an easy interception on a deflected pass.
Davis continues to grade as one of the best cover corners in the league, but he doesn't accumulate many interceptions or sacks.

Davis (foot) is active for Thursday's game in Houston, Stephen Holder of the Indianapolis Star reports.
Assuming his foot isn't a big limitation, Davis will likely shadow NFL target leader DeAndre Hopkins for most of the night. Quarterbacks typically avoid throwing in Davis' direction, but Texans signal-caller Ryan Mallett won't have much choice but to test the star corner.
