Crawford (concussion) will go through individual work during Sunday's practice, Jon Machota of Dallas News reports.
Crawford suffered a concussion during practice a week ago and is still going through the league's mandated protocol. He's expected to do individual work during Sunday's practice, which is a step in the right direction for the 26-year-old defensive tackle. Crawford is expected to be healthy and available for Week 1, although he could be held out of the team's preseason finale against the Texans on Sept. 1.

Crawford (concussion) won't play in Thursday's preseason game against the Seahawks, The Dallas Morning News reports.
He suffered the concussion during Sunday's practice and given how thin their defensive line is, the Cowboys will take no chances with Crawford prior to Week 1.

Crawford took a blow to the head during Sunday's practice and sat out of Monday's practice as a precaution, Clarence Hill of the Star-Telegram reports.
Crawford could be subject to the league's concussion protocol if the head injury is severe enough to keep him out of practice for multiple days. It's likely the Cowboys are just playing it safe with their projected starter at defensive tackle, while they continue to deal with a depleted D-line.

Crawford sat out Sunday's practice due to soreness in his back, Todd Archer of ESPN reports.
The Cowboys' defensive line is already depleted, with Maliek Collins (foot), Randy Gregory (suspension), Benson Mayowa (knee), and DeMarcus Lawrence (suspension) all missing time. Crawford now adds to that list, though his absence is expected to be too long. He had an MRI after sitting out practice Sunday and it doesn't appear to have revealed anything serious. Cedric Thorton, Terrell McClain, and Rodney Coe all figure to see some extra reps in practice while Crawford is out.

Crawford says his recovery from offseason shoulder surgery is going well, David Helman of DallasCowboys.com reports. "It's extremely helpful to just have the strength back that I didn't have last year," Crawford said Friday. "I'm back up to almost where I was before the injury. I'm feeling real good. I'm feeling confident about it as well."
He also said he's prepared to move to defensive end for the first month of the season to cover for suspensions to Randy Gregory and DeMarcus Lawrence, a position he has played in the past before moving to the three-technique DT spot in coordinator Rod Marinelli's defense. "I'm going to do what I have to do. It's definitely a possibility if needed," Crawford said. "We can't have guys taking on such a big role they haven't taken on before, so it's all of us working together helping each other out." If Crawford does see significant snaps at DE over the first four weeks, he could be sneaky source of sacks in deep IDP leagues.

Crawford will undergo surgery Thursday to repair a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder, ESPN Dallas reports.
He played through the shoulder injury in the second half and Crawford was something of a disappointment after signing a big contract last offseason, finishing 2015 with 35 tackles including five sacks. If he can stay healthy next year, he still has a chance to develop into a disruptive inside force on the Cowboys' defensive line.

Crawford recorded five tackles, including his fourth sack of the season, in Thursday's loss to the Panthers.
He also blocked a late field goal attempt after the game was well out of reach for the Cowboys. Crawford has been very hit or miss this season, and was held out of the box score entirely the week before against Miami, making him a marginal IDP play at best.

Crawford picked up three tackles and the Cowboys' only sack in Sunday's comeback win over the Giants.
He provided some immediate returns on the contract extension he signed just before Week 1. If he can keep getting penetration and pressure, Crawford could become a useful IDP play this season, as other three-technique DTs such as Warren Sapp have put up some great numbers in Rod Marinelli defenses in the past.

Crawford agreed to a five-year, $45 million contract extension with the Cowboys on Saturday, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.
Crawford did not post eye-popping stats last season, tallying 33 talkies and three sacks in 15 games, but he generated consistent pressure in the pocket, and is a player on the rise, so the Cowboys wanted to lock him up for several more seasons. He will be leaned on as the team's top defensive tackle moving forward.

Crawford picked up two sacks and two tackles during Sunday's win over the Eagles.
He's now got three tackles in his last three games, Crawford doesn't collect enough tackles to have much IDP value, but he's starting to add a little juice to the Cowboys' pass rush.
