Williams left Wednesday's practice early with a toe injury, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

In his last nine seasons, the durable Williams has only missed two games. It's unusual to see a player of his toughness have to leave the playing field, but knowing his track record it would be a bit of a shock if he was to miss any regular season action. However, foot and toe injuries can often linger, so it is important to see how Williams feels throughout the remainder of the week.

Williams had six solo tackles and three assisted tackles in Sunday's loss to Arizona.

EDGE Analysis

This was easily Williams' best game of the season, as he climbed to fourth on the Browns in tackles. Cleveland's defense isn't exactly an example to the league, but Williams is a valuable part of the Browns' game plan.

Williams agreed to a deal with the Browns on Monday, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Williams will step in to fill the shoes of Buster Skrine, who signed a hefty four-year deal with the Jets earlier in free agency. With many already ready to label first-round draft pick Justin Gilbert a bust, the need for Cleveland to bolster their secondary was apparent, as they had little depth at corner outside of Pro Bowler Joe Haden. Williams only missed a single game during an eight-year stretch with Green Bay, over which he collected 465 combined tackles and 28 interceptions.

Williams made 71 tackles (61 solo) and intercepted three passes over 16 games during the 2014 season.

Williams' production in the tackle and sack departments dipped in 2014, but he played in every game for the third straight season and held up well in pass coverage. A free agent this offseason, it remains to be seen if he will Green Bay after speding the last eight seasons there.

Williams made two tackles (both solo) and intercepted a pass in Sunday's loss to the Bills.

The Bills did not throw much Sunday, but Williams was still able to come through with his third interception -- and, in turn, his 12th pass deflection -- on the season.

The Patriots threw the ball often Sunday, which allowed Williams to rack up a season high in tackles. He has tallied 56 stops (47 solo) and two interceptions through 12 games this season.

Williams made four tackles (all solo) and intercepted a pass in Sunday's victory over the Eagles.

Williams' interception was his first since Week 2. He has not been as active as he was last season from an IDP standpoint, but he is on pace to finish with 70 tackles, which would be more than he had in any other season besides the 2013 campaign.

Williams made three tackles (two solo) and deflected a pass in Sunday's victory over the Panthers.

Williams was questionable for Sunday's game, but he suited up and saw action on 57 of the Packers' 69 defensive snaps. He should be good to go moving forward.

Williams (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Panthers.

Williams had been a game-time decision, but his work in pre-game warmups has given the Packers' enough confidence to let him suit up. He'll presumably take on the responsibility of covering Kelvin Benjamin (concussion), as Sam Shields (knee) has already been ruled out.

Williams (ankle) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Carolina, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Tyler Dunne reports.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported earlier in the day that Williams will be a game-time decision, and this injury designation seems to confirm that report. The Packers have already ruled Sam Shields (knee) out, and losing Williams as well could mean big things for Cam Newton and Kelvin Benjamin (concussion), assuming Benjamin is cleared to play.
