Gipson was held out of Tuesday's minicamp practice due to a hamstring injury he suffered while working out on his own, ESPN Cleveland reports.

Gipson said he likely would be able to play if the Browns had a game on their schedule this week, but since the regular season is still a few months away, the Pro Bowl safety will proceed carefully with the recovery process. Gipson had previously entered the offseason nursing a sprained MCL that kept him out of the final six regular-season contests, but he said he's 100 percent recovered from that particular injury.

Gipson (knee), who has yet to sign his restricted free agent tender, will not show up for the start of OTAs on Tuesday, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.

Gipson received a second-round tender for $2.356 million, but he wants to sign a long-term contract, after picking off 11 passes over his last 27 games. According to Daryl Ruiter of 92.3 The Fan, the Browns can cut Gipson's tender to 110 percent of his 2014 salary (or approximately $627,000) if he doesn't sign by June 15. While disappointed not to have a long-term offer from the Browns or any other team, Gipson will likely join his teammates at some point this summer. He won't turn 25 until August, and he'll still be in good shape to cash in big next year, if the Browns don't first sign him to a long-term extension.

Gipson (knee) was tendered a second-round offer Monday, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

After picking off six passes in 11 games last season, Gipson became the first undrafted Browns defender to make the Pro Bowl, which he missed due to his season-ending knee injury. If another organization makes an offer that Cleveland refuses to match, they'll receive a second-round pick in exchange.

Gipson (knee) will not play in Sunday's Pro Bowl, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Gipson led the Browns with six interceptions in 2014, despite the fact that he missed the team's final five games with a knee injury that ultimately landed him on the injured reserve. It's not too surprising to see him sit out a frivolous contest such as the Pro Bowl, but the knee injury isn't expected to limit him when camp rolls around in 2015.

The Browns have placed Gipson (knee) on season-ending IR.

Gipson suffered an MCL injury against the Falcons roughly a month ago, and with the Browns not looking like good playoff bets, it doesn't make much sense to rush Gipson back from his injury. He's been a strong IDP both of the last two years, totaling 147 tackles and 11 interceptions (two touchdowns) in 27 games, so he'll be worth DB1 consideration in 2015.

Gipson reportedly suffered a grade 3 MCL injury Sunday against the Falcons, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

While the report relays that Gipson avoided ACL damage, he could well be done for the regular season, though if the Browns elect to not place him on IR, a return for playoffs (should the team qualify) is plausible. Either way, it's a tough loss for the Browns, who will look to replace the NFL's interception leader (6) with fellow safety Jim Leonhard, with Jordan Poyer also a candidate to see added reps.

Gipson's knee injury may be severe, The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Gipson suffered the injury during Sunday's win over the Falcons, and he will undergo an MRI on Monday. While nothing has been confirmed, the NFL's leader in interceptions seems to be in danger of missing the rest of this season.

Gipson (concussion) is active for Sunday's matchup with the Texans, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Gipson was able to log a bit of work in Friday's practice, which gave the team enough confidence to upgrade their safety to probable in advance of Week 11's game. The NFL's interception leader will look to take advantage of the fact that opposing quarterback Ryan Mallet will be starting his first game for the Texans.
