The Eagles have released Randle.

EDGE Analysis

The team also parted way with Chris Givens on Sunday, which bodes well for Paul Turner's chances of making the Eagles' 53-man roster as a depth option behind Jordan Matthews, Nelson Agholor, Josh Huff and Dorial Green-Beckham.

Randle did not start Thursday's preseason game against the Steelers, Martin Frank of the Delaware News Journal reports.

EDGE Analysis

In the absence of Jordan Matthews (knee), Philly started Nelson Agholor, Josh Huff and Chris Givens at wideout, though Randle and rookie UDFA Paul Turner also got plenty of chances to mix in while starting quarterback Sam Bradford was still in the game. Randle managed just two catches for 10 yards on two targets, after catching one ball for three yards on three targets in the preseason opener. Once viewed as a strong candidate for the No. 3 wideout role, Randle likely now finds himself on the roster bubble, with his chances taking a further hit due to Philly's recent acquisition of Dorial Green-Beckham.

Randle appears to be the No. 3 wide receiver, The Inquirer reports.

EDGE Analysis

Jordan Matthews and Nelson Agholor are the top two wideouts, with Randle, Chris Givens and Josh Huff vying for the No. 3 and 4 roles. While he does appear to have the early edge, Randle will still need to impress throughout the rest of training camp and the preseason in order to fend off the competition.

Randle (gallbladder) returned to the field for Tuesday's mandatory minicamp after missing the final two weeks of OTAs, PennLive.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Randle had his gallbladder removed May 23, but he was back on the practice field 15 days later and shouldn't be affected. Head coach Doug Pederson said Randle will compete for a starting job on the outside, with other candidates including Nelson Agholor, Josh Huff and Chris Givens. Despite having to settle for a one-year, $1.025 million contract in March, the 25-year-old Randle has every opportunity to earn a significant role.

Randle missed Tuesday's OTAs after undergoing gallbladder surgery.

EDGE Analysis

The procedure may require a week or two of recovery, but it shouldn't threaten Randall's availability for training camp. After signing a modest one-year contract in the offseason, he'll compete for snaps against Nelson Agholor, Josh Huff, Chris Givens and others. Jordan Matthews is locked in as the top receiver, and Agholor's draft status (2015 first-rounder) would seem to give him an edge for the No. 2 role.

Randle has signed a one-year deal with the Eagles.

EDGE Analysis

The 24-year-old, who had 57 catches for 797 yards and eight TDs in 16 games for the Giants last season, helps bolster a Philadelphia wideout corps that also includes Jordan Matthews, Nelson Agholor, Josh Huff and Chris Givens. At 6-foot-2, 208 pounds, Randle brings good size to the table, and the 2012 second-rounder will now look to secure a key role in the Eagles' offense following what the New York Daily News describes as an "inconsistent four-year run" with the Giants.

It's unclear if the Giants have interest in retaining Randle, an impending free agent, NJ.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Randle is one of the better impending free agents at his position, which says more about the upcoming free-agent class than it does about the former second-round draft pick. He scored a career-high eight touchdowns in 2015, but he only caught 57 passes for 797 yards despite starting all 16 games. Randle should still draw plenty of interest, as he won't turn 25 until May and has the physical tools to be a solid starter. It would be surprising if the Giants re-signed him before the free-agent period begins in mid-March.

Randle plucked four of seven targets from the air during Sunday's win over Philadelphia, tallying 79 yards and a touchdown.

EDGE Analysis

Randle finished the season on a four-game scoring streak, helping him toward a career-high eight touchdowns this season. For much of 2015, the Giants offense was built around Manning to Beckham, with Randle coming on late with Beckham flustered and/or suspended. The Giants have already invested big-time money in Victor Cruz and Beckham's contract will command attention soon enough, making Randle a luxury New York may not be able to afford. Whether or not he stays in the Meadowlands, Randle has established himself as a solid No. 2 or No. 3 target with the size and athleticism to find the end zone with some frequency.

Randle had two catches for 80 yards and a touchdown on five targets in Sunday's 49-17 loss to the Vikings.

EDGE Analysis

11 different Giants caught passes, with no one player tallying more than three receptions or five targets. Randle had an impressive 70-yard touchdown in the third quarter to salvage his stat line, but he otherwise failed to take advantage of Odell Beckham's one-game suspension. Randle does get an excellent Week 17 matchup with the Eagles, but Beckham will be back to soak up a large share of the targets.

Randle reeled in four passes off of five targets for 47 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's loss to the Panthers.

EDGE Analysis

Randle has now scored touchdowns in three of the last four games, topping five targets in each contest. The fourth-year receiver's recent groove should make him a prime pick-up this week as Odell Beckham's suspension leaves his former LSU teammate as the Giants' primary outside threat. Beckham has averaged nearly 12 targets per game since the Giants' bye and fantasy owners should expect Randle, along with Will Tye and Shane Vereen, to pick up the majority of those shares against Minnesota.
