Jennings is expected to handle around "15-18 carries per game" in 2016 while the Giants deploy a shorter rotation at running back than they did in 2015, per the Giants' official site.

EDGE Analysis

Jennings is a jack-of-all-trades tailback, capable of toting the rock, catching passes and protecting the quarterback. However, if he were to see 15-18 carries per game, he would finish with somewhere between 240 and 288 carries on the year; the six-year veteran hadn't topped 167 carries in any season before last year's 195 attempts. Jennings needed to stay healthy for an entire 16-game slate for the first time in his career to reach that career-high, too. Given Jennings' injury history, with Shane Vereen in the mix on passing downs, HC Ben McAdoo's endorsement of Andre Williams, the addition of Bobby Rainey, and the selection of Paul Perkins in the fifth round, it is still too soon to project how the Giants will divide the work amongst their stable of runners. Training camp and the preseason should shed light on the situation.

Jennings had his best game of the season in Sunday's loss to the Eagles, racking up 170 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries. He also caught two of five targets for six additional yards.

EDGE Analysis

The veteran was fed early and often versus a Philadelphia run defense that had been reeling in the second half of the season, and he responded with his best game since Week 3 of 2014. Jennings' production was rather pedestrian for most of the season, but he finished strong with at least 100 total yards in each of the last four weeks. Jennings is under contract for two more seasons, and he should enter 2016 as the Giants' leading rusher as things currently stand.

Jennings had 14 carries for 74 yards and two catches for 62 yards in Sunday's 49-17 loss to the Vikings.

EDGE Analysis

Jennings unsurprisingly did most of his damage in the first half, as the Giants were forced to go pass-heavy while playing from behind. He was really the team's only effective weapon, though he didn't actually pick up much more than what was blocked, even on a 50-yard gain from a screen pass. Having mostly fended off the four-man committee from earlier this season, Jennings is a decent bet to top 15+ touches for a fourth straight game in Week 17 against the Eagles.

Jennings carried 16 times for 101 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's loss to the Panthers. He grabbed one of his three targets for no gain.

EDGE Analysis

The veteran had his best rushing game of the season versus the stout panthers defense, topping the 100-yard mark for the first time and scoring on the ground for just the second time. The Giants stand to benefit mightily from a productive Jennings, and they are likely to continue feeding him, as his 41 touches over the last two weeks illustrate. Jennings and company will travel to take on the Vikings in Week 16.

Jennings had 22 carries for 81 yards and caught two passes for 21 more yards.

EDGE Analysis

After Andre Williams fumbled early, Jennings saw the bulk of the work and ran hard, breaking tackles and getting yards after contact. The Giants run blocking is still poor, and it's unclear whether the team will go back to a committee next week, but Jennings made a case for the team to consider re-establishing him as a feature back of sorts.

Jennings rushed five times for 14 yards and caught one of two targets for 19 receiving yards Sunday against the Jets.

EDGE Analysis

The Giants' backfield situation is pretty ugly, as they continue to use four different backs and none of them has made a big enough impact to warrant more touches. In addition to Jennings' weak output Sunday, Orleans Darkwa rushed eight times for 23 yards, Andre Williams six times for 22 yards and Shane Vereen four times for 13. Given the split touches, none are legitimate fantasy options.

Jennings ran for 14 yards on six carries in Sunday's loss to Washington. He added two catches off of three targets for 14 yards.

EDGE Analysis

Jennings' eight touches were his second lowest total of the season and his 28 total yards was his most modest total since Week 7. With such a crowded backfield in New York it is difficult for any back to distinguish himself, even Jennings, the team's leading rusher. Jennings has been unable to make up for his limited yardage with scores, having not scored a rushing touchdown since Week 1 or a touchdown of any kind since Week 4. With 23 of the the Giants' 26 offensive touchdowns coming through the air this season, it is unlikely that Jennings will suddenly become a scoring threat.

Jennings had 11 carries for 39 yards and caught 2-of-3 targets for 12 yards in Sunday's 27-26 loss to New England.

EDGE Analysis

Jennings led the Giants in carries Sunday, as the trio of Orleans Darkwa, Andre Williams and Shane Vereen combined to carry the ball 11 times for only 31 yards. Jennings' long rush Sunday was just six yards, which has been a constant theme this season. In fact, he's got just one run of over 20 yards and one rushing touchdown this year, and both of those came back in Week 1. The presence of PPR darling Vereen also limits Jennings' upside in the passing game, so it's hard to get excited about him at the moment. In any event, make sure he's on your bench in Week 11, as the Giants will have their bye.

Jennings carried the ball 13 times for 48 yards and added a -1-yard catch in Sunday's win over Tampa Bay.

EDGE Analysis

The 13 carries tied a season-high for Jennings, who had seen just 15 combined carries in the previous two weeks combined. Though he's the team leader in carries, the Giants' decision to alternate Jennings, Shane Vereen, Andre Williams and Orleans Darkwa in the backfield makes it extremely difficult to depend on any of them from week to week. Jennings has not scored on the ground since Week 1 or at all since Week 4 and has yet to top 92 total yards in any game this season, so there seems to be limited risk in sitting him and watching him dominate on your bench.

Jennings led the Giants with 54 rushing yards on 10 carries, and caught 2-of-3 targets for 31 more yards in Sunday's 52-49 loss to the Saints.

EDGE Analysis

This game was all about passing, as Eli Manning and Drew Brees combined for a ridiculous 13 touchdowns. Though it's disappointing that Jennings failed to score, his 5.4 yards-per-carry average and decent workload on the ground were both encouraging signs for his outlook moving forward.
