Cox agreed to a three-year, $15 million deal with Tennessee on Saturday, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.

Cox has a press corner skill set and showed some playmaking ability for the first time in his four NFL seasons by intercepting five passes in 15 games in 2014. He'll likely start opposite Jason McCourty.

Cox (shoulder) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Cox's ledger includes 53 tackles (49 solo), which he's supplemented with five interceptions and two fumble recoveries in 15 contests. However, his first DNP of the season will place Dontae Johnson in the starting lineup at cornerback opposite Chris Culliver (knee).

Cox (shoulder) is questionable for Sunday's game against Arizona.

Cox was unable to practice all week, so he might miss this very favorable matchup against Ryan Lindley.

Cox suffered a mild ankle injury in Saturday's loss to the chargers, but stayed in the game and finished with five tackles (all solo), four passes defended, and his fifth interception of the season.

Cox continues his stellar 2014 campaign as his five picks blows away his previous career-high of one. He is going to be a free agent this offseason, and he has proven that he can handle a starting cornerback role, whether it is with San Francisco or another franchise.

Cox got another start Sunday, recording six tackles (all solo) in the overtime win over the Saints.

Cox stayed in the starting lineup as Tramaine Brock (toe) is still being eased back into action. He was also asked to take over punt return duties (two returns, seven yards) after Bruce Ellington had to leave the game with an ankle injury. The severity of Ellington's injury is unknown, but Cox's ever-expanding role could increase again if Ellington can't go against the Giants next week.

Cox got another start in place of Tramaine Brock (toe) on Sunday and recorded his fourth interception of the season against the Rams.

Cox continues to excel when given an opportunity. His four interceptions lead the team and he should continue to be a good source of picks for the rest of the year.

Cox continued to take advantage of his starting role Sunday, recording three tackles and picking off his third pass of the year in the win over the Chiefs.

Cox was thrust into a starting role when Tramaine Brock (toe) was unable to begin the year with a clean bill of health. In that time, he has been nothing short of spectacular, recording 13 tackles, three interceptions, and a recovered fumble through the 49ers' first five games. Brock is still attempting to recover from a toe injury, but it will be hard to keep Cox out of the starting lineup even when he does return.

Cox had three tackles and an interception in Sunday's victory over Philadelphia.

Cox continues to excel in place of the injured Tramaine Brock (toe). He now has recorded two interceptions through four games for the 49ers and is making a strong case to stay in the starting lineup even when Brock does return. This will be a situation to monitor going forward, but Cox is proving to be a playmaker on defense and is worth a look in IDP leagues.

Cox got another start in place of the injured Tramaine Brock (toe) Sunday, recording two tackles and recovering a fumble in the loss to Arizona.

Cox has come in and performed admirably for a 49ers' secondary that is being bogged down by injuries. After getting an interception last week, he converted another turnover Sunday. There is no word on whether Brock will be able to start next week, but we should get a clearer picture once practices get under way later this week.

Cox stepped in for the injured starters Tramaine Brock (toe) and Chris Culliver (concussion) Sunday and collected three tackles and an interception in the win over Dallas.

The 27-year-old cornerback was immediately thrown into the fire Sunday, but responded well in the wake of several 49er injuries. The interception was just the second of his career and first as a 49er. It is unknown whether Brock (toe) and Culliver (concussion) will be ready to go before next week's home opener against Chicago, but Cox showed that he is more than capable if the team calls on him again.
