Cox (ankle) returned to practice Monday, Jim Wyatt of titansonline.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Cox injured his ankle a little over two weeks ago, but after some rest and rehabbing it appears Tennessee's starting cornerback is good as new. In his first season with the Titans last year, Cox started 13 games, so it is reasonable for Tennessee to expect the 29-year-old to take on a bigger role in the secondary this season.

Cox (ankle) is aiming to be back for the Titans' preseason finale against the Dolphins, Paul Kuharsky of ESPN.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Cox suffered an ankle injury just under a week ago and was originally given a two-week timetable for a return. He's now shooting for a preseason finale return on Sep. 1, which would give him ample time for a full recovery. Previous reports indicated he was on track for a starting cornerback gig prior to the injury, so it appears he'll have just one preseason game to prove his worth on the No. 1 defense.

Cox (groin) suffered an ankle injury Friday and is expected to be out for two weeks, Paul Kuharsky of ESPN reports.

EDGE Analysis

The injury does not come at an ideal time for Cox, as he is currently trying to win the starting cornerback gig opposite Jason McCourty. That being said, a twisted ankle is not a serious injury, and Cox will still have one or two preseason games to prove that he deserves a spot on the first team. Expect Antwon Blake, Curtis Riley and Blidi Wreh-Wilson to pick up minutes in Cox's absence.

Cox is currently leading the battle for the starting outside cornerback gig, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

EDGE Analysis

Cox, a six-year veteran, is competing with Antwon Blake, Curtis Riley, and Blidi Wreh-Wilson, among others, for the starting cornerback job across the field from Jason McCourty. However, with a month left until the season gets underway, there is still plenty of time for other corners to make an impact as nothing is set in stone.

Cox was held out of Monday's scrimmage with a groin strain, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

It remains unclear just how severe the injury is, but the Titans were undoubtedly playing it safe by having the six-year veteran stay clear of the scrimmage field. Cox is coming off a 2015 season where he recorded 30 tackles and one interception over 13 games.

Cox (hamstring) is listed as active for Thursday's game against the Jaguars.

EDGE Analysis

With Jason McCourty on IR and and Blidi Wreh-Wilson ruled out this week, Cox -- who has 12 tackles and a pick in six games to date -- is in line to work at cornerback opposite Coty Sensabaugh in his return to action Thursday.

Cox (hamstring) is listed as probable for Thursday's game against the Jaguars.

EDGE Analysis

With 12 tackles and a pick in six games to date, Cox is off the IDP radar, but his likely return to action Thursday will be a welcome one for the Titans' secondary, with fellow cornerback Jason McCourty now on IR and Blidi Wreh-Wilson ruled out for Week 11's action.

Cox (hamstring) is inactive Sunday against the Panthers.

EDGE Analysis

With Cox out of action, Blidi Wreh-Wilson (hamstring) is expected to take over at left cornerback. With Wreh-Wilson not at 100%,this appears to be an upgrade for Cam Newton and the Panthers passing attack.

Cox (hamstring) is a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Jim Wyatt of Titans Online reports.

EDGE Analysis

Cox has been dealing with a lingering hamstring injury all season. He was able to play last week against the Saints, but had just one tackle. Cox and his backup, Blindi Wreh-Wilson (hamstring), have been limited in practice this week so the Titans could be very thin at cornerback this Sunday.

Cox (hamstring) is active Sunday against the Saints.

EDGE Analysis

After missing time, the Titans will welcome Cox back to his left cornerback spot. After Drew Brees put up seven passing touchdowns last week, he'll be needed in the lineup. In addition, his backup, Blidi Wreh-Wilson (hamstring), will miss this game, so the Titans are thin at cornerback.
