Soliai will be released by the Panthers on Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Soliai signed a two-year, $7 million deal only last year. He was owed a $500 thousand roster bonus Mar. 11, so apparently Carolina didn't find the former Pro Bowler worth keeping on. Soliai will look to find work as a run-stopping defensive tackle on an NFL roster in the coming months. He recorded only eight combined tackles in 2016.

Soliai (foot) is active for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
The Panthers listed Soliai as questionable for Sunday's game even though he was able to practice all week, so it's not surprising that he'll be available. The defensive tackle has posted five stops over four appearances on the season.

Soliai (foot) will not play against the Saints in Week 6.
EDGE Analysis
Soliai did not practice this week, but the details surrounding his injury are unclear at this point in time. Look for Star Lotulelei and Kawann Short to take on the majority of reps at defensive tackle on Sunday.

Soliai is not a lock to make the final 53-man roster, the Panthers' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Soliai, a former Pro Bowler, signed with Carolina earlier this offseason but is reportedly not guaranteed to make the team. The Panthers are expected to keep four defensive tackles on their active roster this season, and five at the most, with Star Lotulelei, Kawann Short and first-round pick Vernon Butler all listed as locks. That would mean Soliai will be in line to compete with the newly-resigned Kyle Love and Chas Alecxih for a roster spot. Soliai should be expected to win this battle.

Soliai has signed a two-year deal with the Panthers, ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Soliai, who recorded 22 tackles in 14 games with the Falcons last season, will join the Panthers' defensive tackle rotation behind starters Star Lotulelei and Kawann Short, helping to make up for the team's release of Dwan Edwards and the potential free agent departure of Kyle Love.

EDGE Analysis
Soliai is expected to be released by Atlanta as soon as the new league year begins in early March. Soliai could add depth and experience to the Dolphins defensive line but it remains to be seen if a deal can be made.

Falcons agreed to terms with DT Paul Soliai, formerly of the Dolphins, on a five-year, $33 million contract. The deal includes $14 million guaranteed. It's a hefty commitment for a player now on the wrong side of 30, but the Falcons are living up to their pledge of beefing up and getting tougher. The Falcons employ a 4-3 base, but are reportedly considering implementing more 3-4 looks this season. Soliai can man the nose in either alignment. Soliai played for Falcons DC Mike Nolan in Miami.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the Falcons are "very aggressively" pursuing free agent NT Paul Soliai. According to the Miami Herald, Soliai is down to three teams, and the Dolphins aren't one of them. Per La Canfora, Atlanta is considering implementing more 3-4 concepts on defense. Falcons DC Mike Nolan coached both Soliai and free agent DT Randy Starks in Miami, so there's also a coaching staff connection. Soliai can function at nose in either a 3-4 or 4-3 alignment. Starks is the superior pocket pusher.
