Pouncey (hip) is expected to make his season debut versus the Packers on Sunday, according to the Miami Herald's Armando Salguero.

Pouncey's return will only help a Miami offensive line that has played better than expected in the early going this season.

Pouncey (hip) could play guard upon his return to game action, according to the Miami Herald.

Pouncey would rather stay at center but if the team believes he would help them more at guard, he is willing to make the move. Pouncey is expected to ramp up his work in practice this week before the Dolphins announce when he will be ready to start.

Pouncey (hip) practiced for the first time this season on Tuesday, albeit on a limited basis, the Miami Herald reports.

Pouncey underwent hip surgery in June, a procedure that was expected to require a three month recovery period. Knowing that, the Dolphins avoided placing Pouncey on their PUP list, which allows the Pro Bowler to return whenever he's ready. With Monday's date being just shy of the three month mark following surgery, Pouncey appears fit to practice. While it's unclear when the center will be available to play, his looming return represents a big boost to the Dolphins' offensive line.

Pouncey (hip) has been ruled out for the Dolphins' Week 1 matchup against the Patriots.

Considering Pouncey was borderline candidate to start the season on the PUP list, his absence for Week 1 isn't particularly surprising. The Dolphins expect their center to return to action perhaps as early as Week 3, with the offensive line simply hoping to tread water until he's ready to go.

Pouncey (hip), who is expected to miss the start of the season, was removed from the PUP list Saturday, the Miami Herald reports.

Had the Dolphins kept Pouncey on the PUP list, he'd have been ineligible to play for the first six games of the season. He's still expected to miss the first few games, but a return in Weeks 3-6 is now possible. Samson Satele will open the season as Miami's starting center.

Pouncey (hip), who isn't sure when he'll be ready to practice, thinks he'll be healthy enough to play before mid-season and is thus "praying" the Dolphins don't put him on the PUP list to begin the upcoming campaign, the Sun Sentinel reports.

Pouncey underwent hip surgery in June and was initially scheduled for three months of recovery. That time frame put Pouncey's return after Week 1 of the regular season. Although the center admits he's unsure whether he'll be ready for Sept. 7 versus New England, Pouncey thinks he'll be fit to play before the six-week window that players on the PUP list are required to sit to begin the season. While Pouncey's situation will be sorted out in the next couple weeks, Samson Satele should continue to start at center for the Dolphins.

Pouncey (hip) believes he could be ready to play by mid-September, according to the Miami Herald.

Pouncey is still following his rehab protocol following hip surgery but has progressed faster than expected and could avoid the PUP to start the season. This would be good news for both the running and passing games in Miami.

Pouncey (hip) believes he is well ahead of schedule in his rehab, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Pouncey has started running and believes he could be back in time for the season opener. While that may be extremely optimistic this does bode well for his chances of opening up the season on the active roster rather than on the PUP.

The NFL isn't expected to suspend Dolphins C Mike Pouncey for his involvement in Bullygate, according to the Miami Herald.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said there's been "no change in [Pouncey's] active status," and he doesn't "anticipate having to address the issue again." All four of Pouncey, Jonathan Martin, Richie Incognito, and John Jerry are/were expected to undergo a mental evaluation before returning to the field. It's unclear it those have already happened. Pouncey will miss the first month or so of the season with a torn labrum in his hip. Incognito is the only one out of work.
