Vick officially announced his retirement from the NFL, ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Vick, now 36 years old, was unable to find a team to play for in 2016 despite his stated hopes of playing again. Once the No. 1 overall selection in the 2001 Draft, he will be remembered on the football field for his strong arm and electrifying running ability that led the Atlanta Falcons to two playoff appearances and one NFC championship game. He later joined the Eagles for the 2009-2013 seasons before spending a year with each of the Jets and Steelers and finished his career with 22,464 passing yards, 133 passing touchdowns and an all-time quarterback record 6109 rushing yards.

Vick, who remains unsigned, hopes to play this coming season, the Charlotte Observer reports.
EDGE Analysis
While teams aren't exactly lining up to sign the 36-year-old QB at this stage, Vick still hopes to catch on somewhere this season, ideally with a contender. "I wouldn't say that I would go to any of the 32 teams," said Vick, who attempted 66 passes in five games for the Steelers in 2015. "At this point in my career I would love to play for a contender. If anything, you've just got to be willing to make a contribution."

Vick played four games in relief of an injured Ben Roethlisberger this season, completing 40 of 66 passes for 371 yards, while throwing two touchdowns and one interception. He also ran for 99 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries.
EDGE Analysis
Pittsburgh won all but one game, an overtime loss to Baltimore, with Vick at quarterback before a hamstring tear ended his season. Should Vick, an unrestricted free agent who turns 36 before next season, return in 2016, he will compete with Landry Jones, who turns 27, for the backup job.

Vick is inactive for Sunday's game against the Browns.
EDGE Analysis
With Vick inactive Sunday, NFL.com indicates that Ben Roethlisberger -- who is dealing with a foot issue -- is in line to back up Landry Jones on Sunday.

Vick (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Raiders.
EDGE Analysis
This is not really big news since Ben Roethlisberger is back in action, but it means that Landry Jones will act as the backup.

Vick (hamstring) was a full participant in Friday's practice and is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Raiders.
EDGE Analysis
Vick appears to have overcome his recent hamstring injury, but is pegged as a backup quarterback now that Ben Roethlisberger has returned to action.

Vick (hamstring) practiced fully Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Vick could be available for Sunday's game against the Raiders, but with starter Ben Roethlisberger back in action, Vick once again slots in as a backup for the Steelers.

Vick (hamstring) has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Bengals.
EDGE Analysis
Vick missed last weekend's game and was limited in practice this week due to his hamstring injury, but with starter Ben Roethlisberger (knee) expected to return this weekend, Vick's fantasy value is highly restricted anyway.

Vick (hamstring) did not practice Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
That's a step back from Thursday's limited participation, but with Ben Roethlisberger on track to suit up this week, Vick's Week 8 status is of limited fantasy import.

Vick (hamstring) was limited at practice Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
While that is a step in the right direction for Vick, at this stage, starter Ben Roethlisberger appears on track to return to action this week, and in such a scenario Vick would be restricted to backup duty Sunday against the Bengals in the event that he is able too suit up.
