Mulligan caught his only target for minus-two yards during Saturday's playoff game against the Seahawks.
EDGE Analysis
Mulligan's catch resulted in a failed fourth-down conversion attempt and perfectly encapsulates the disappointing performance of Detroit's entire receiving corps. Signed in November after failing to survive final cuts out of training camp, Mulligan finished the regular season with just one catch for eight yards across eight games. As he's almost exclusively deployed as an in-line blocking tight end, Mulligan is highly unlikely to attain fantasy relevance all of a sudden in 2017.

Mulligan was re-signed by the Lions on Tuesday, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mulligan was surprisingly cut by the Lions right before the beginning of the regular season but was brought back after Cole Wick (knee) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday. At this point, he will likely serve as a reserve tight end, currently sitting behind the likes of Eric Ebron, Khari Lee, and Clay Harbor on the depth chart.

Mulligan was released by the Lions on Monday, The Detroit News reports.
EDGE Analysis
This move comes as a bit of a head-scratcher since Mulligan appeared to be Detroit's top in-line tight end with Brandon Pettigrew (knee) still residing on the team's PUP list. However, this could alternatively be seen as a vote of confidence from GM Bob Quinn regarding the status of Pettigrew's recovery and subsequent chance of starting Week 1. Nonethless, this move bodes well for both Cole Wick's and Andrew Quarless' odds of cracking the final 53-man roster.

Mulligan (undisclosed) did not practice Tuesday, MLive.com's Kyle Meinke reports.
EDGE Analysis
The nature of Mulligan's injury is unclear, but he is not expected to be dealing with anything long-term. Mulligan had been serving as Detroit's primary blocking tight end while Brandon Pettigrew (knee) resided on the PUP list to begin training camp, and was tabbed as the team's No. 2 tight end behind Eric Ebron (leg) on the first unofficial depth chart of the preseason. Now, with Ebron currently sidelined as well, the Lions will be without their top-three overall tight ends for the foreseeable future.

The Lions have signed Mulligan, the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mulligan gives the Lions some added tight end depth, with Brandon Pettigrew still recovering from a torn ACL. Once Pettigrew recovers from his injury, look for Mulligan to compete with Tim Wright for the Lions' No. 3 tight end job behind presumed starter Eric Ebron and Pettigrew.

Mulligan was released by the Bills on Tuesday, WKBW's Joe Buscaglia reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mulligan, a 30-year-old blocking specialist, has just 17 catches in 81 career games. For the corresponding transaction, fellow tight end Nick O'Leary was promoted from the practice squad.

Mulligan signed with the Bills on Thursday, BuffaloBills.com reports. Outside of Scott Chandler, the Bills have required quite a few Mulligans at the tight end spot going back all the way to Jay Riemersma, but Mulligan has a history with new coach Rex Ryan and will be given a shot at a depth role based on his blocking prowess. Right now the position is anyone's guess after starter Charles Clay.

Mulligan agreed to a contract with the Titans on Tuesday. Mulligan was added to the roster to take the spot of fellow tight end Brett Brackett (knee), who was placed on injured reserve. He will slot in fourth on the depth chart for the Titans.

Mulligan signed with the Cardinals on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reports. Mulligan will provide the Cardinals with tight end depth after the team lost rookie Troy Niklas to a season-ending ankle injury. The team already has John Carlson, Rob Housler and Darren Fells ahead of Mulligan on the depth chart, so it's unlikely he'll be featured heavily in the offensive game plan this season. It took him over two months since being released by the Bears to sign on elsewhere, as the 29-year-old hasn't recorded a reception in the league since his time with the Patriots in 2013.

Mulligan was released by the Bears on Tuesday. Mulligan's release leaves the Bears with just one tight end, but apparently the team is not concerned. Mulligan has appeared in 65 NFL games, so he could get a look with a team looking for tight end depth.
