The Raiders have released Reece (suspension) .

EDGE Analysis

With Reece poised to come off the suspension that had sidelined him to date this season, the Raiders instead elected to release the veteran fullback, who should re-surface elsewhere before long.

Reece has been suspended four games for violating the NFL's policy on performance enhancing drugs, CSN Bay Area reports.

EDGE Analysis

Reece, who will sit out Sunday's season finale against the Chiefs, is thus eligible to return to action after the Raiders' third game of the 2016 season. In the meantime, he can participate in all of the team's offseason and preseason practices and games.

Reece caught all three of his targets for 37 yards in Sunday's loss to the Packers.

EDGE Analysis

Reece caught multiple passes during garbage time late in the game, as the Raiders were trying to move down the field with under two minutes left. He really didn't play a part in the game prior to the last couple of drives, and he likely won't have a large role moving forward. Reece shouldn't be considered a fantasy option at this point.

Reece rushed for four yards on one carry and added three catches for 19 yards in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs.

EDGE Analysis

After receiving just four touches over the last three weeks combined, the pass-catching fullback received four in Sunday's game alone. Reece has always been known as a great receiver out of the backfield, but his three catches were due to game flow and the fact that the Raiders were trailing late in the game. He seems to get more time in obvious passing situations, but he doesn't hold much fantasy value at this time. The Raiders' have a lot of options on offense, and Reece is ultimately near the bottom of the list.

Reece rushed thrice for 21 yards and was not targeted in the passing game Sunday in Pittsburgh, but he could get more action in the coming weeks if starter Latavius Murray (concussion) can't play.

EDGE Analysis

Reece is nominally a fullback, but he has served as a very competent fill-in at the running back position before. The 30-year-old would be especially useful in PPR formats if given an expanded role, as he has demonstrated sure hands out of the backfield throughout his career.

Reece caught all three of his targets for 15 yards in Sunday's win over the Chargers.

EDGE Analysis

Reece continues to see a handful of targets from week-to-week, but he doesn't play enough snaps to make him a realistic fantasy option. The pass-catching fullback should continue to be a factor in the Raiders' passing game, but would only provide worthy production in the deepest of PPR leagues.

Reece rushed for six yards on one carry and hauled in seven of his eight targets for 49 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's loss to Denver.

EDGE Analysis

Reece has seen just two carries on the ground in five games, but the Raiders really seem to enjoy his skills in the passing game. He plays a ton of snaps on third-downs and in obvious passing situations, and he led the team in catches on Sunday with seven. His eight targets were second only to Michael Crabtree's nine, and he should continue to see increased snaps in passing situations moving forward. Through five games, Reece has 14 catches, including three touchdowns through the air.

Reece caught both of his targets for 16 yards in Sunday's Week 4 matchup against the Bears.

EDGE Analysis

Reece was actually the Raiders third leading receiver in this game, but he's been very quiet over the last three games after catching two touchdowns in Week 1. He's a good pass-catcher out of the backfield but now that Roy Helu is healthy and in the mix, Reece will continue to see limited action.

Reece caught one pass on two targets for 16 yards in Sunday's Week 2 win over the Ravens.

EDGE Analysis

After catching two touchdowns during garbage time of the Week 1 opener, Reece was very quiet in the second game. He played just 10 of the 74 offensive snaps and only got two looks all day. Reece won't hold much fantasy value moving forward unless the Raiders were to sustain some injuries to the backfield.

Reece caught three passes for 26 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's Week 1 opener against the Bengals.

EDGE Analysis

Reece caught two touchdowns from back-up quarterback Matt McGloin during garbage time of the 33-13 loss on Sunday. The sixth-year fullback has always been known as a solid receiver out of the backfield and he's considered a "do-it-all" type of player. Reece will likely see a few targets per game moving forward, but you certainly shouldn't expect touchdowns from him with any regularity.
