Miller, who has steadily improved as a pass catcher during his four NFL seasons, said he works on catching balls throughout the offseason.

EDGE Analysis

As a rookie, Miller caught just six balls in 13 games, but by his final season in Miami, he caught 47 of 57 targets for 397 yards, including six catches of more than 20 yards. The Texans offense should be a radically different beast than what we saw last season. The forward pass will be in vogue and Miller is a big part of the makeover -- both as a runner and receiver.

In the wake of the departure of Arian Foster, Miller is expected to move into a key role with the Texans, as a key cog in the team's reshaped offense, the Houston Chronicle reports. "I'm looking forward to the opportunity," said Miller, who only hit the 20-carry mark once this past season with the Dolphins. "I've been following Houston for a while now. I know in this offense they get their running backs involved. I just wanted to be a part of that. I feel like with my skill set, I can help this offense."

EDGE Analysis

Miller rushed for a total of 872 yards and eight touchdowns on 194 carries with Miami last season, while adding 47 catches for 397 yards and two receiving scores. In the Houston offense, now helmed by quarterback Brock Osweiler, we'd expect Miller to see an increased workload and if he can hold up to the added pounding that entails, Miller is a candidate to see a nice uptick in production while clearly heading his new team's backfield.

Miller is reportedly set to sign a four-year, $26 million deal with the Texans, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

EDGE Analysis

Per the report, his deal includes $14 million in fully guaranteed money, with Miller now poised to head Houston's backfield in 2016, with the team having bid adieu to Arian Foster.

Miller is expected to hit the open market once free agency opens at 4 PM ET on Wednesday, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.

EDGE Analysis

Miller's representatives and the Dolphins have been negotiating in the lead-up to March 9, but progress has been difficult to come by. Only 24 years old and with little wear on the tread, he'll likely garner significant interest from interested parties as an all-purpose threat. In his four-year career, Miller boasts a steady 4.6 YPC, 117 receptions, and 22 touchdowns in 61 games.

Miller and the Dolphins have been unable to agree on a price point for a multi-year contact, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

EDGE Analysis

Miller is reportedly seeking a salary above $5 million per season, but since the Dolphins appear unwilling to meet that desire, Miller could hit the open market when free agency opens March 9. Just 24 years old, Miller has averaged 4.6 yards per carry through his first four seasons, and posted 1,269 all-purpose yards and 10 touchdowns last season. Should Miller and the Dolphins fail to reach agreement on a new contract, his absence would leave rising second-year player Jay Ajayi as the top running back on Miami's roster.

The Dolphins "definitely" want to retain Miller in free agency this offseason, the Miami Herald reports.

EDGE Analysis

Drafted and developed by the Dolphins over the past four seasons, Miller's effectiveness as both a runner and receiver should interest a new coaching staff under Adam Gase in 2016. With one campaign of 1,000 yards rushing under his belt, Miller has also increased his output through the air each year, while accumulating 22 touchdowns along the way. The backfield is already populated by 2015 fifth-round pick Jay Ajayi, though, so the organization has a difficult decision on its hands.

Miller gained 60 yards on 19 carries and secured one of two targets for three yards in Sunday's 20-10 victory over the Patriots.

EDGE Analysis

Although he struggled to find any running room for the third straight week, Miller tallied his highest rushing total since a Week 14 loss to the Giants. Now officially a free agent, the fourth-year running back's future with the Dolphins remains clouded. Miller's 872 yards rushing in 2015 represented a 227-yard drop from his 2014 total, but he also received 22 fewer carries. The 24-year-old was often inexplicably phased out of the offense for extended in-game stretches this season, only receiving 20 carries once and tallying single-digit totes in six contests. If he receives a legitimate starting opportunity--either in a new offensive system in Miami or on a new team altogether--Miller has demonstrated the potential to excel as a feature back in the NFL.

Miller gained 31 yards on 15 carries and scored a rushing touchdown, while securing five of six targets for 36 yards in Sunday's 18-12 loss to the Colts.

EDGE Analysis

The four-year pro was stymied on the ground for the second straight week by one of the worst run defenses in the NFL. After only mustering an atrocious 1.3 yards per carry against a Chargers unit that had been surrendering almost five yards per carry coming into Week 15, Miller was held to 2.1 yards per attempt by a Colts team that came into Week 16 ranked as the 24th-worst unit in total yards allowed to opposing rushers. He did manage a one-yard touchdown in the second quarter after backfield mate Jay Ajayi was stopped just short of the goal line on second down. On the positive side, the five receptions were the most by Miller over the last six games. Despite some positive flashes over the course of 2015, it would be fair to say that the contract-year tailback has taken a step back after breaking the 1,000-yard barrier last season for the first time in his career.

Miller (quad/ankle) is active Sunday against the Colts.

EDGE Analysis

The injuries weren't likely to keep Miller from playing Sunday, as he was officially listed as questionable, though his fantasy upside is a bit more limited of late with rookie Jay Ajayi getting more touches out of the backfield.

Miller (quad/ankle) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Colts, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.

EDGE Analysis

Listed as a full participant on Friday's practice report estimation, there's little doubt that Miller will be available Sunday, though the looming possibility that he could continue to lose a share of touches to rookie Jay Ajayi is some cause for concern. Miller recorded just 12 yards on nine carries in Week 15's loss to the Chargers, while Ajayi logged six carries for 27 yards and a TD in the contest.
