Miller gained 80 yards on 21 carries and secured four of five targets for 27 yards in Thursday's 27-0 loss to the Patriots.

EDGE Analysis

The flow of the game certainly didn't help Miller's cause and he had only seven carries early in the third quarter, but had managed a solid workload by night's end. He was also spelled by Jonathan Grimes on an early fourth-quarter drive as he appeared to have his knee examined on the sideline, but returned to the contest on the next offensive possession. Miller now has over 20 carries in his first three games in a Texans uniform, and head coach Bill O'Brien appears committed to keeping him involved for all four quarters regardless of the score, certainly an encouraging sign for a back that was often inexplicably capped at around the 15-carry mark during his years in Miami. Miller figures to be back to even heavier usage in a Week 4 contest against a vulnerable Titans defense.

Miller had 12 carries for 45 yards in the fourth quarter, helping to set up two insurance field goals in Sunday's win over the Chiefs.

EDGE Analysis

When he was with the Dolphins, Miller did not carry a heavy load and had a reputation for wearing down in the second half, but that was not the case in Week 2. Miller had 25 carries Sunday and gained more than half of his yards in the fourth quarter. Through two games, he has 53 carries, second only to Pittsburgh's DeAngelo Williams (58).

Miller rushed for 83 yards on 25 carries and added two catches for 14 yards in Sunday's win over Kansas City.

EDGE Analysis

Miller's per-carry yardage isn't what one would hope for such an explosive back and he's yet to find the end zone, but fantasy owners - especially those who are familiar with him from his Miami days - have to be thrilled with his usage. Miller has 59 touches to start the season, including at least 25 carries in each game. Alfred Blue and Brock Osweiler are next in line with six carries each. That kind of lion's share is special overall and unheard of for Miller. Miller never reached 25 carries in a game in his four years in Miami and reached 20 carries just twice. He should be dangerous once he finds his groove.

Miller rushed 28 times for 106 yards, and hauled in four of his six targets for 11 more in Sunday's season-opening 23-14 win over the Bears.

EDGE Analysis

Miller's Texans debut was a good one, as he topped the 100-yard mark on the ground for the seventh time in his career. Houston figures to rely on the ground game quite a bit given its stout defense and questions about Brock Osweiler's ability at the quarterback position, so the former Dolphins running back should see north of 20 carries per game consistently. While he only managed 3.8 yards per carry here, Miller's career average of 4.6 suggests greater things to come.

Miller had four carries for four yards and a touchdown, with no catches on one target, in Sunday's preseason game against the Cardinals.

EDGE Analysis

For obvious reasons, Miller and DeAndre Hopkins were removed before the other starters, though their absence didn't stop the first-team offense from humming. Tyler Ervin did get a couple of plays early in the game, but Miller dominated the first two drives, highlighted by a one-yard touchdown. He figures to open the year with a three-down role, backed up by Alfred Blue, Ervin, and Jonathan Grimes/Kenny Hilliard.

Miller gained 16 yards on six carries and caught his lone target for four yards in Houston's win over New Orleans in preseason Week 2.

EDGE Analysis

Miller played longer this week than he did in the preseason opener against the 49ers, but the production was unspectacular. The Houston attack is operating behind a makeshift offensive line, so we're not drawing too many conclusions from Miller's 2.7 yards per carry Saturday. Pay no mind to the stats; the goal is to keep Miller healthy through the exhibition games and have him ready for the regular season opener against the Bears.

Miller gained 30 yards on four carries in Sunday's preseason game against the 49ers.

EDGE Analysis

Suiting up in a Texans uniform for the first time, Miller was the only real bright spot for a Houston first-team offense that was held scoreless over three drives. With so many new pieces at the offensive skill positions, it could take the offense some time to gel, but there's little question Miller will be heavily involved. Other than one missed practice with a tweaked ankle, he's enjoyed a healthy training camp.

Miller, who did not practice Sunday, participated fully in Monday's session, Chris Abshire of CBS Houston reports.

EDGE Analysis

Miller tweaked his ankle Saturday, but continued to practice that day before being held out Sunday. Head coach Bill O'Brien said sitting him Sunday was merely a day off, though we can't help but think it was a precautionary decision in reaction to the ankle.

Miller did not practice Sunday.

EDGE Analysis

Houston head coach Bill O'Brien said it was a routine day off for both Miller and Jadeveon Clowney. The decision to give Miller a day off may be related to the tweaked ankle he experienced Saturday.

Miller avoided a potential injury Saturday when he tweaked his ankle, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.

EDGE Analysis

Miller was checked out by team trainers, was re-taped and finished practice without incident. "Yeah, it's good," Miller said afterward. "It's fine." Miller continues to work with the first-team offense, getting accustomed to new teammates while learning a new playbook.
