Peppers doesn't figure to return to the Packers next season, ESPN's Rob Demovsky reports.

EDGE Analysis

Peppers registered 7.5 sacks in a noticeably limited role last season, and although that production was impressive for someone his age, the Packers' many free-agent edge defenders may cause them to prioritize options younger than the 37-year-old this offseason. For his part, it's unclear whether Peppers will continue playing or opt to retire, thus complicating his situation further. What's certain, though, is that as the NFL's fifth-leading sack artist all time, Peppers can hold his head high no matter what his future holds.

Peppers finished the 2016 campaign with 23 tackles, including 7.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and three passes defensed.

EDGE Analysis

Peppers scarcely showed his age this past season, as he continued putting up strong numbers in his age-36 season. The Packers tried to the veteran pass rusher fresh throughout the season, playing him on 57 percent of defensive plays and often resting him for a practice during the week. He'll be an unrestricted free agent once the league year ends and it's unclear if he'll opt to return for a 16th season or retire. If he does return, he'll figure to see a similar or slightly reduced role in 2017.

Peppers had three tackles, including a sack, and two passes defensed in Sunday's win over the Giants.

EDGE Analysis

Despite being 36 years old, Peppers has continued to produce for the Packers. He pressured Eli Manning repeatedly Sunday and had one of just two sacks for Green Bay. After seeing limited snaps early in the year, Peppers played in 74 percent of the Packers' defensive snaps Sunday. He'll likely continue his increased role throughout the playoffs as he seeks to reach the Super Bowl for the first time in his 15 year career.

Peppers recorded four tackles (three solo), including a sack, forced one fumble and recovered one fumble in Sunday's 30-27 win over Chicago

EDGE Analysis

Peppers was the Packers No. 1 option at outside linebacker Sunday with Clay Matthews (shoulder) limited and Nick Perry (hand) out. He played 79 percent of the team's defensive snaps and had one of the biggest plays of the game when he strip sacked Bears' quarterback Matt Barkley and recovered the fumble. The 36 year old defender is as effective as ever and now has 7.5 sacks on the season, his 14th season with at least 7.0 sacks and .5 sacks short of tying Nick Perry for the team lead. Against a struggling Minnesota offensive line in Week 16, Peppers is a player to consider in IDP leagues.

Peppers recorded a sack and five tackles Sunday against the Texans.

EDGE Analysis

After picking up just 3.5 sacks in his first nine games of 2016, Peppers has gotten to the quarterback in each of his last three games. The 36-year-old has plenty of gas in the tank to continue sacking the quarterback, even when his snaps are limited. He's a player to consider adding to IDP rosters for the stretch run.

Peppers recorded two tackles and a sack in Monday's win over the Eagles.

EDGE Analysis

The veteran continues to make his presence felt on the defense, recording a sack in back-to-back games. Peppers played in 73 percent of the defensive snaps Monday and may continue to see a high number of reps if Jake Ryan (ankle) remains sidelined.

Peppers recorded 1.5 sacks to go along with a pair of tackles Sunday against the Vikings.

EDGE Analysis

Before getting too excited about the veteran's performance, he's no longer a full-time player, though he obviously has the ability to get to the quarterback. Despite the limited snaps, he'll play in high-leverage situations, making him a candidate for decent sack totals, but almost non-existent as a tackler.

Peppers did not record a statistic in the Packers' season-opening victory over the Jaguars.

EDGE Analysis

The veteran Peppers did not have many opportunities to make an impact: of the Packers' 72 defensive snaps he was on the field for just 29 -- the fourth-most among Packers outside linebackers. The Packers will likely continue to conserve his snaps in an effort to keep him fresh for games later in the season, which could make it tough for him to match or surpass the 10.5 sacks he recorded a year ago.

Peppers has been cleared of any steroid use following a meeting with NFL league officials, Adam Schefter of ESPN.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Peppers, as well as Clay Matthews and James Harrison, were all linked to PED use in an Al-Jazeera documentary early this offseason, which eventually prompted an interview with league officials. However, after going through the interviews, all three had their names cleared Wednesday and will not face any sort of suspension. Peppers should be ready to go for Week 1 and is slated to reclaim his job as a starter in his 15th NFL season.

Peppers has agreed to meet with the NFL, who has threatened a suspension due to allegations linked to steroid use from an Al-Jazeera documentary called The Dark Side, Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports.

EDGE Analysis

With a potential suspension hanging over his head, Peppers will in fact explain his mention in the documentary, despite submitting an affidavit regarding the allegations to the NFL. The date of the interview is unknown, but the Packers should have some clarity regarding its pass-rushing duo (also, Clay Matthews) in the near future.
