Edelman, who underwent surgery on his left foot this offseason, is slated to open training camp on the Patriots' active/PUP list, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.

EDGE Analysis

The same applies to fellow wideout Danny Amendola, with both players eligible to be activated from the list and return to practice at any time during training camp. Though Edelman's status is clearly worth tracking, there's been positive indicators suggesting that he is on track in his injury recovery, including his recent presence at Fenway Park, where the wideout reportedly moved around well while taking batting practice and fielding ground balls.

Though Edelman is progressing in his recovery from a Jones fracture in his left foot, he remains unsure when he'll be full-go on the field, the Boston Herald reports.

EDGE Analysis

That said, per the report, things are "trending in the right direction" for the wideout, who noted Saturday that he's "feeling a day better than yesterday" and "feeling a second better than the last second." At this stage, the expectation is that Edelman will be available when the Patriots play in Week 1, though with QB Tom Brady set to serve a four-game suspension to start the season, Edelman and the rest of the team's receiving corps are on track to catch passes out of the gate from Jimmy Garoppolo.

The Patriots are highly optimistic Edelman (foot) will be ready for training camp, CSN New England reports.

EDGE Analysis

Edelman broke his left foot Nov. 15 and missed the rest of the regular season, but he returned for New England's two playoff games, catching 17 passes for 153 yards on a whopping 29 targets. He then had a minor clean-up procedure on his foot during the offseason, and while he was recently spotted wearing a protective boot, the Patriots reportedly aren't too concerned. Assuming he recovers as expected, Edelman could spend a good portion of camp working with Jimmy Garoppolo, who's in line to replace Tom Brady (suspension) for the first four games of the season. Though facing long odds, Brady may file further appeals in an effort to have his suspension overturned or delayed.

Though Edelman underwent surgery on his left foot this offseason, the wideout is reportedly on track to be ready for training camp, ESPN.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Per the report, Edelman was recently spotted in New York City sporting a "big boot" on his foot, after undergoing what is described as a "cleanup procedure" that is not expected to affect his status for the coming season. In the absence of any setbacks, Edelman is set to reprise his role as the Patriots' top receiver in 2016, with Danny Amendola and Chris Hogan next up in the team's wideout pecking order.

When asked how the foot that bothered him this past season is feeling, Edelman noted Thursday that "it's feeling better every day. That's a good thing," ESPN.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

At the same time, Edelman neither confirmed or denied a recent report that he hasn't needed additional surgery on his foot and is fully on track to participate in the Patriots' upcoming offseason program. "We're just taking it day to day," Edelman added. In any case, while the wideout's health will be worth monitoring once the team hits the field this spring, there's been nothing to suggest that Edelman's playing status for the upcoming season is in any peril. Perhaps more relevant to his 2016 fantasy prospects will be what moves the Patriots make to re-tool their receiving corps this offseason.

Edelman caught just seven of 15 targets for 52 yards in Sunday's loss to the Broncos.

EDGE Analysis

Just a week after racking up 10 catches for 100 yards versus the Chiefs, Edelman was held in check in Sunday's AFC championship game as the Broncos made a concerted effort to limit his effectiveness. Despite seeing plenty of targets as the Patritos tried to come back late in the game, Edelman was simply too well-covered to make any impact plays. Edelman was limited to just nine games in the 2015 regular season because of a foot injury, and he will look to bounce back in 2016.

Edelman (foot) is listed as active Sunday's AFC title game against the Broncos.

EDGE Analysis

In his first game action since Nov. 15, Edelman hauled in 10 of 16 targets for 100 yards this past Saturday against the Chiefs and with no reported setbacks since then, the wideout is on track to see his share of targets in the Patriots' passing game once again on Sunday.

Edelman (foot) is among the 16 players listed as questionable by the Patriots for Sunday's AFC title game against the Broncos, WEEI.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

While the wideout's status is worth verifying Sunday just to be sure, Edelman did not suffer any reported setbacks in last week's divisional round win over the Chiefs. Thus, the expectation remains that Edelman will continue to be an integral cog in the Patriots' offensive game plan once again this weekend, after hauling in 10 of 16 targets for 100 yards last Saturday.

Edelman (foot) was listed as a limited practice participant Wednesday, the Boston Herald reports.

EDGE Analysis

The Patriots listed 15 players as limited participants in Wednesday's walk-through session, but given that it's believed that Edelman did not suffer any setbacks in Saturday's divisional round win over the Chiefs, we suspect that the wideout will be available and a big part of the Patriots' offensive game plan on Sunday against the Broncos.

Edelman secured 10 of 16 targets for 100 yards in Saturday's 27-20 Divisional Round victory over the Chiefs. He also gained 11 yards on one rush.

EDGE Analysis

The 29-year-old made a triumphant return after missing the last seven games of the season with a foot injury. He easily led the Patriots in targets, as Tom Brady took full advantage of Edelman's outstanding ability to move the chains all afternoon long. Edelman appeared to run routes without restriction, providing Brady with the premiere short-to-intermediate weapon that their passing game is heavily predicated on. Considering his apparent return to full health, Edelman will likely be Brady's top target once again in the AFC Championship Game.
