Hughes just signed with the Bills a couple weeks ago and is in line to fight for a backup role on the team's defensive line. However, in order to do so, he'll need to remain healthy. Fortunately, it's not considered to be a serious injury, but Hughes cannot afford to be sidelined for too long.

Hughes exited Sunday's victory over the Falcons with what was first believed to be an elbow injury. However, further testing apparently revealed much worse, as Hughes reportedly tore his biceps. The veteran defensive lineman will the 2017 campaign with 10 tackles over eight appearances. The Saints signed veteran DL Tony McDaniel to take Hughes' spot on the roster.

EDGE Analysis
Hughes functions primarily as a reserve defensive lineman so his absence shouldn't alter the New Orleans game plan too much moving forward. In the meantime, look for David Onyemata to fill in where needed.
