Cumberland finished 2014 with 23 catches for 247 yards. He was targeted 47 times.

Two of Cumberland's touchdowns came long after he was a fantasy write-off: Week 16 and 17. He's yet to top 400 yards in any of his five seasons, and now Jace Amaro is around to complicate things.

Cumberland had three catches on five targets for 43 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's loss to the Patriots.

Cumberland's score was the Jets' only touchdown of the day, as quarterback Geno Smith continues to struggle. Cumberland was targeted twice, both incompletions, in Sunday's loss at Kansas City.

The Jets didn't get their tight ends going in this game - Jace Amaro didn't even draw a target. Meanwhile, the team's two primary wide receivers, Percy Harvin and Eric Decker, combined for 20 catches. Cumberland and Amaro are impossible to trust entering Week 10's game against Pittsburgh.

Cumberland caught 3-of-4 targets for 50 yards and a touchdown in Thursdya's 27-25 loss to the Patriots.

Cumberland turned in his finest statistical performance of the season, and it may stand as such at the end of the year. He'll likely keep starting over Jace Amaro for at least a couple more weeks, but it won't be all that surprising if the rookie eventually takes over. For now, both tight ends will be involved in the offense, with Amaro largely focused on receiving while Cumberland does a bit more work as an in-line blocker.
