Dolphins signed OT Jason Fox, formerly of the Lions, to a one-year contract.

Fox (6-foot-6, 314) won the Lions starting right tackle job out of camp last summer but suffered a groin injury in Week 1 before losing the gig to LaAdrian Waddle. The 26-year-old (in May) is an above-average pass blocker and is now penciled in as the Dolphins' starting right tackle. He'll certainly be part of a camp battle.

Free agent OT Jason Fox will visit the Dolphins.

The Dolphins currently have no one penciled in at right tackle. Fox played his college ball at the University of Miami and is just 25 years old, but he profiles as a swing tackle at best. He would be a depth signing to play behind a rookie.

Free agent OT Jason Fox is visiting the Chiefs on Monday.

Kansas City's offensive line is starved for depth after Geoff Schwartz, Jon Asamoah, and Branden Albert all walked. The old backups become the new starters, leaving little behind. Fox, 25, is athletic enough to "swing" between both left tackle and right tackle, but played the right side in Detroit.

Lions RT Jason Fox (groin) remained sidelined at practice Friday.

Fox was injured in the second quarter of last Sunday's opener against the Vikings. Swing tackle Corey Hilliard will start in his place against Arizona.

Lions starting RT Jason Fox (groin) is not practicing Wednesday.

Fox went down in the second quarter of Sunday's win over the Vikings and did not return. Backup Corey Hilliard came on and struggled badly in pass protection.

Lions RT Jason Fox left Sunday's game with a groin injury.

He's questionable to return. Corey Hilliard is replacing Fox at right tackle. With LaAdrian Waddle inactive, the Lions can't afford any more injuries to the offensive line.

Jason Fox has nearly sewn up the Lions starting right tackle job.

Fox has beaten out Corey Hilliard and undrafted rookie LaAdrian Waddle. He'll slide into the vacancy created by Gosder Cherilus' departure, leaving Hilliard as a swing tackle on Sundays. Fox has appeared in just five games during his three-year NFL career.

The Lions' website gives Jason Fox the "slight edge" to win the starting right tackle job.

A fourth-round pick in 2010, Fox has appeared in just five career games and dealt with injuries in each of his first three seasons. Now that he's finally healthy, he'll compete for playing time with Corey Hilliard in training camp. Despite his limited experience, Fox is considered the favorite to start.

Lions OTs Jason Fox and Corey Hilliard will split reps equally at right tackle in training camp.

Both players split reps during OTAs and minicamp, and that will continue over the summer as the Lions look for one of the two to step into Gosder Cherilus' old position. "We'll keep them as equal as we can and let guys work with different groups," offensive coordinator Scott Linehan said. Fox has been viewed as the favorite to win the job, but he has never started an NFL game.
