Wilhoite has spent the majority of the season alternating between starter and backup in Jim O'Neil's defense. On Sunday, he became the only active middle linebacker after Gerald Hodges was suspended and Nick Bellore (elbow) left the game early. The latter was already ruled out for the remainder of the season, and we have yet to hear about Hodges' status for Saturday's matchup with the Rams.
