Walsh was released by the Vikings on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The Vikings worked out other kickers last week and decided to stick with Walsh, but the team reversed course Tuesday after Walsh missed his fourth extra-point and eighth overall attempt in Sunday's loss to the Redskins, and decided to give him his release. The Vikings have yet to announce who will replace Walsh on the roster, but they will have a new kicker in Week 11 for the first time since 2011.

God forbid he have an off year when the wheels already fell off rest of the team weeks ago. That one extra point is not why they lost to the redskins but if that's what they want to tell themselves....

Knee Jerk reaction.

He has been struggling all year. I firmly believe the gimme kick he missed in the playoffs is still in his head.

He also had a horrible 2014, going 26/35. When you go 74.3% one year, and then 75% 2 years later, it is not a knee jerk reaction. They can't depend on him when they need him. As a kicker that is huge.
