Trent Richardson says the ankle injury that held him out for Week 17 was a "mild" high-ankle sprain.
In other words, a high-ankle sprain. It's hard to classify an ankle sprain as "mild" once the word "high" is involved. Nevertheless, it's not an injury that will impact Richardson's preparation for 2013, though coupled with the ribs, chest, knee and finger ailments - that we know of - it gives him yet another injury to heal up from coming off his checkered rookie season. Richardson should be 100 percent well ahead of next summer's camp, but will have a lot to prove from a durability standpoint during his sophomore campaign.
