Smith enjoyed a healthy training camp and preseason, despite having surgery in late April to remove screws from his surgically repaired right foot. He's locked in as the team's top cornerback, with Shareece Wright opening the season as the other starter. Though he arguably had the best statistical year of his career in 2015, Smith and the rest of the Baltimore secondary struggled to slow opponents.
