Philly Mag's Birds 24/7 Blog reports the Eagles will not cut Michael Vick prior to February 6.
Much has been made of the February 6 date simply because $3 million of Vick's 2013 salary becomes guaranteed if he's on the roster at that time. But, reports have come out recently that the $3 million is only "guaranteed" if the Eagles cut him and no other team picks him up, which certainly wouldn't happen. Coach Chip Kelly is still in the evaluation process, and Vick has reportedly come away "very high" on his new head coach. The Eagles' quarterback situation is one of the offseason's biggest storylines to track.
