Locker (shoulder) was placed on injured reserve Monday, NFL.com's Kevin Patra reports. Locker left Sunday's game with a left shoulder injury, and his season is over. Zach Mettenberger is also dealing with a shoulder injury, and it's not clear when he will be able to return. In the meantime, the Titans signed Jordan Palmer to serve as Charlie Whitehurst's backup for Week 15.

Rough. Keep wanting to pull for this kid, but he's got a penchant for falling the wrong way or something. Anyone get a look at what happened?

No, but I feel the same way you do. I'm an Eagles fan, and I really hope they go out and sign this kid next yr to be a back up. I think he honestly has a similar skill set to Aaron Rodgers in terms of having all the arm talent you could want, along with very good mobility, and running ability. Most people forget or never knew he was the consensus top pick in the draft his junior year at Washington, but elected to return to school, and suffered a mediocre season. So much so that when Tennessee drafted him in the early teens it was seen as a reach just one year after being the top QB prospect. If Philly can sign him to a 3 yr deal, and give him a chance to learn the system, as well as strengthen his body under Chip's conditioning regimen, he could turn out to be at worst a very solid back up QB who offers the ability to run the pass offense, but also the option run game. Something that would greatly benefit the Eagles, whether they decide to resign Foles in 2015, or draft a QB. His days in Tennessee are likely over.

He needs to find a way to stay healthy, in order to produce consistently. As you said, he has the talent.
