Following Sunday's loss to the Panthers, coach Mike Shanahan said the rest of the year will be about evaluating players for next season.
Realistically, the 3-6 Redskins aren't going to make the playoffs. But for Shanahan to essentially throw in the towel on this season seems strange. "Now you're playing to see who, obviously, is going to be on your football team for years to come," Shanahan said. "Now we get a chance to evaluate players and see where we're at." If the Redskins aren't simply going to play their best players, it's going to be hard to project roles on a weekly basis. The only ones we can really trust right now are Alfred Morris and Robert Griffin III.
K - had a trade offer - Bush/Austin/Bowe for Morris/Dre Johnson....
when a coach says that only half way through the season and only 2 games out of the division lead.that coach should not be coaching this team after the bye week
If someone told me that Shanahan would somehow f#*k this season up, I'd say....NO S**T.
I think I could weasel my way to get Michael Turner in a trade for Morris. Any thoughts? Morris has a nice playoff schedule but it looks like this may become the Evan Royster show as well.
is he still a good player to start even though all this crap is happening
shanahan has got to get alfred morris 25+ carries to help rg3 out
Come on Alfred Morris is third in the league and we only give him 6 carries in the second half in the Carolina game
here comes the "shanahanigans"
give Morris 25+ carries, heʻs so effective and stop throwing the damn ball
This J.A. Isn't really going to start playing games now, is he?
i think so, thass what he does...so stupid to not be feeding morris to make things easier fo rg3
