Chargers coach Norv Turner gave Philip Rivers a vote of confidence at Monday's press conference.
Turner said Rivers still gives the Chargers their best chance to win. The fact that Turner felt compelled to speak on his quarterback's status at all is indicative of just how shaky Rivers' play has been of late. Seven of Rivers' 12 interceptions have come in the Chargers' past four games. His fourth-quarter pick to Leonard Johnson in Sunday's loss was perhaps the worst throw by any QB all season. Rivers' job is in no danger, but Turner's is as good as gone if his signal caller can't significantly improve his play down the stretch.
