Carson Palmer exited Sunday's Week 16 game in the first quarter after taking a mammoth blow to the middle of his back by Panthers RE Greg Hardy.
The injury was announced as being to Palmer's ribs. Hardy was whistled for roughing the passer, and Palmer looks unlikely to reenter. He was very slow to get up after the hit. Raiders fans have been begging for an extended look at Terrelle Pryor, but Matt Leinart has taken over under center. Assuming Palmer is indeed done for the day, he'll finish 1-of-1 passing for 22 yards. His lone completion, ironically, was good to Pryor.
